Anyone know of any Cannabis strains without myrcene? Appearently that is what gives you couch lock, which is exactly what I do not want.Of course, the strain I am growing right now has it. FML

Well, it’s the most abundant terpene found in cannabis, so it’s pretty prevalent. The presence of myrcene alone does not indicate a sedative expression however. There are myrcene dominant sativas that will get you moving. Lambs Bread, SSH, Strawberry Cough, Red Diesel etc. Lots to choose from and of course much research to be done (cough ;)

Even though myrcene is technically a cannabinoid as well as a terpene its in synergy with other stuff that give you that effect just cos myrcene is there doesnt mean its always gonna be couch lock its a very common terp/cannabinoid look at the chems alot of them are caryophylene dominant for example so its not so clear cut

That's sage advice. Chems are a nice high. Caryophylene strains always give me and the wife a giddy buzz and we like that. Have a Gary Payton in the 2x2 just starting and its caryophylene dominant. Good 'ol GSC might hit the spot.

Strain the OP is growing is Mexican Red Hair Auto from Blimburn. Says it's sativa dom & that the indica side provides a gentle buzz. Judging from the genetics (Columbian x Mexican) it should not put you on your ass & will be a good day time smoke. I have a Columbian cross that has terps that makes it more relaxing but it is still energizing, can get things done or sit down with focus. The little bit of indica in sativas is favored by some over more racy jittery sativas, I like both.

Chem's (especially Chem D) put me on the couch more often than not. Has a good punch to the high but makes me sluggish. Would take Sour D over Chem when it comes to what will give me more pep in my step.

Look at Durban Poison, speaking of Fleur De Mal Seeds they just dropped a new Durban. I'm already on the hunt for a killer pheno!

I know most folk get it that was my point bud that it dont need to be myrcene dom strain to be a couch locker just so op understands its not so simple or clear cut as down to one terp
