I like how in his apology, he states that it was 10pm and it had been a long day while all of the emails are time stamped at 6 - 7 pm.

    Bastard can't even tell time.

I never said he would get disbarred. Unless of course he has been censured multiple times or has a stack of administrative warnings. Which given this guys attitude is highly likely.

The bar will tighten the screws if it receives complaints. It can affect behavior, except in cases of terminal instability......

But I've never heard anyone say..'I'm Catholic and I think you are too'..I wonder what his thinking was at mentioning his religion?..like being southern Baptist, I never heard anyone say that they were one and that they think the person they converse with is one as well.

Just interested in the anticipated value of the question.

What did he think he was going to get?

I hear "I'm a Christian" from time to time. As in "the string trimmer needs a rebuilt carburetor. I'm a Christian and just want you to know that you can get a kit for $15.00 off e-bay and you can re-build it yourself or we can put a new one on and it costs $100 plus half hour labor". That line can be interpreted as "I don't want to fix this" or "I don't want to charge you for work you can do yourself". In any case, that's what he said.

Another was a neighbor who complained about a different shop by prefacing the complaint with "I heard they were a good Christian business". When he told of his nice nearly new string trimmer being swapped with an old shitty one when he brought it in for servicing. Never got his own back.

In both cases, they thought it was necessary to conflate honesty with being Christian.

This is Oregon, maybe we have a more naive bunch of cross worshipers here. IDK

Being Christian means nothing to me. In fact, when hearing that very earnest claim by the repair man, my warning lights went up and I grabbed my wallet. I had them repair the carburetor. He did a good job. It cost me extra, bill came in about where he estimated it and when I fired it up, it worked like a champ. I don't know what being Christian had to do with it. And I'm a bit insulted at the insinuation that if you aren't Christian, you are less trustworthy.

but hey, find good a dentist or repair guy and don't piss them off. One of my rules to self.

And, yeah, I've been accused of being Christian. Is that any different than somebody confusing me with being Jewish?

"I'm jewish". What in hell does that mean within the context of the text is beyond me. But not surprised that a zealot would say it.

Then again, you reference black people needlessly.

    People are weird.

I said testosterone induced rage, "roid rage" is an equal opportunity disability. You read into what I said what you wanted.

    Some people are really weird.

You're not the only one who has command of the English language, Foggy.

Do you actually read or does somebody have to interpret it for you?

Nothing in there said triggered. Everything I reference you for in those posts is true.

    Why are you so emotional?

We didn't see the emailer's redacted name; perhaps it is "Jewish" or jewish sounding. Regardless, it's irrelevant. However, it is a common means to disarm/engender solidarity/etc to interject a level of commonality into a dispute to gain some advantage.
edit: as in Fogdog's example the Christian references can be a means of saying "I'm not a cheat" or "I'm a good person so please don't cheat me". All horseshit techniques
