Water level???

hey everyone i am setting up a little mini DWC set up and have all my parts my main question is how high the water level should be i have about 4" of open space to the bottom of my netty pot? i have heard if you have the water to high you will get algea growth any help would be much appreciated!kiss-ass

Thats a good link. Ive refrerred to it, several times. Also, check out rosemans guide. Its VERY informative. I even printed it out.
