Definitely a nice girl there ! I unfortunately have run into another huge stop to my grow !!!! Tobacco mosaic disease or hemp mosaic or cucumber mosaic I don't know but I'm bummed !View attachment 3751296
TMV or Sunn Hemp??? - - - - NOPE not it!

Those will effect a whole plant and rather quickly! Don't believe all those pics on the net showing things like that as any MV!

A group of us here have sent HUNDREDS of sample to MSU and never has one come back as positive!

ANY MV will cripple the plant and seriously reduce harvest, just about killing the plant.....

SUNN HEMP is a BEAN by the way!

You do NOT have any form of TMV or MV ! You will not suffer any reduction in yield from that odd form of vertigated display.
Generally, if the leaf has that type of "look" and "bends" or curls, left or right. Broad mites!

Fell better now @Stonironi ? :D:D8-)

If it were a mutation then it wouldn't show up on different strains. I never had issues when I didn't have my card. Lol , they have been repotted .

I posted this yesterday and there is several pics. Check it out.
No I have not seen any mites. I have a little hand held 60x microscope .
It can be seen in many strains.....Pop 10 seeds from one strain.....How come only one or 2 maybe a few more are effected and others (most of them) are not? It's a trait towards possible weakness in the plant to do that.

Broad mites are only as big around as a leg on a white fly - you won't "see" them unless you do better then 100X..

BEST thing to defeat them is FORBID 4 F ----- I don't think you have them - chill mon, it's cool run'ins K?

I broke out the big nasty guns Avid and Forbid 4f both bottles say they kill broad mites . I have sprayed them now 2 times really good. I know I'm ruining my microbes though !! I am gonna feed a tea in 2 days hope it helps

I can close that page and go to reopen RIU and I'm still logged in. Whenever I click your link, it shows me as not logged in.

SQL injection, scripting, what the hell?

Never had bugs to begin with.

Viva la Forbid + Viva la Avid
I don't like using bad stuff but I'm not trying to wipe out my grow either. I have no idea what it is so I'm trying to make sure I double cover all avenues. I don't think I have bugs either , but who knows and when you have people telling it's definitely broad mites then it makes me worried I slipped somehow and let something into my grow that I don't want .

They can ride in on a fly or a moth so its easy to miss. Other than a harmful nematode its probably the smallest mj pest you will encounter. Don't over do it with the sprays. Do the forbid and be done with it.

It wasn't just one plant he said it spread to his other plants multiple strains. The twisting is what got me talking about it. That's why I thought it was broad mites. The only way to tell if it's mv is with a micrograph. Thanks for the input Dr.who

Cow manure was my main source of fertilizer. All of it came from my uncles farm right down the street. I composted it real good before using and was left with a rich earthy smelling soil not stinky at all. I do know some folks that use it a lot fresher without it causing problems other than the odor.
Seriously thats it just aged cow manure nothing else ?
How long did you let it compost for?
And im assuming you can grow from seed to harvest with this?
And do you ever have to worry bout pests?
Do you ever have problems with it being too "hot" for some strains (look into california dream strain)
Can i use r/o water w cal/mag to water?
^or is tap better

Sup Dr.P lol just read the WHOLE thread (phew)
what are your thought on lightly using (weekly) organic budswell for P (i know you hate it but im just curious how it will work with SS) and organic coconut water for K (heard great things about coco-water) in my SS

(what do you guys think about using natural triple mix from a farm [grass soy, mulch & cattle manure] thinking of composting this mix for a while to make supersoil, should i add anything else on top of the compost i already have?)
The strain in growing is California dream and it from research it seems not to tolerate high N soil mixes

Any help from any1 would be cool

Insect eating bat guano - high N
Fruit eating bat guano (budswell) - high P
Btw is budswell really organic??

Try whatever you want. I just try to keep it simple. That cow manure sat for about a year. You want it to smell earthy not shitty.
we have a horse on the property, i was thinking about using horse manure and soil as a mix,, maybe as good as cow manure?
I go with the cow manure because cows chew their cud and it gets digested twice. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but when you think about it the same goes for rabbits.
