water pump quastion

hi guys
i got atman at 107 pump
and i sew i had the option to make it inline pump for my dwc system
now in my local hydro shop the seller told me that this pump will melt down if i will not run it inside the water
so what you guys think?

IMO it should work fine, a lot of growers use this style of pump outside of the reservoir. The fluid moving through it should cool it, but you will only know by trying it out. You could do a test before you build your system by putting the intake and output hoses into a 5 gal filled bucket. You'd have to prime the pump by pouring water down the intake hose. Then let it run for a day checking it periodically. I can't see it getting too hot though, its just a magnetic pump.

Yes I use 2 of them they are submersible pump. I use one for feeding and one for keeping all nutes mixed up. Never let the water level get low or you will burn it out
