I'm running a Johnson cx-6 I had a galaxie switchable 250-400 the led kicks ass this will be my first complete grow with it that being said the Johnson works good but if I had it to do all over I would get the timber 400 w. 4- cob vero29 v7 square framed light that will be my choice when I fire up another setup but I'm pretty happy with the Johnson for only drawing 340w. it's doing good here is a pic of the headband I vegged with the hps & flowered with the johnsonView attachment 3896485View attachment 3896487View attachment 3896488and my old 29x29 Scrog got 7-1/4 oz so there is room for improvement as I'm learning the waterfarms as well as the led I wasn't using the light to its capacity now 2 plants & a larger Scrog should do better & next grow a longer veg time yodaweed is really knowing when it comes to waterfarms
aah, i guess the v7 is the latest and greatest. I didn't know anyone was running cobs at 100wtts. I guess the v7 can handle it.

Now I am thinking.. For my 2x2 I want two v7 but I want them hung on a turntable so that they rotate all day. That would rock my space! I'd probably have to turn it down to 150 watts. What do you think?

it sounds like you're a bit more knowledgeable on the leds than I am but it seems like the veros are driven a bit harder than the citizens or Cree but they seem to get results at a lower purchase cost I like my Johnson's performance but have one negative aspect it says made in China on it so far it's flawless in its operation but for $200.00 less the timber gets my vote even at the same price the simplicity of the timber makes it superior no fans or the converters to run them & if ever something goes out it's all in the open & readily available for replacement & I like rain dan lol

p.s. might be hard to keep power going to the lights & rotate too but I like the fact you've got an idea I think you should pursue that concept

oh yea.. the plug would tangle..
Maybe just a light mover.

Yea, the Vero v7 looks great if it's getting good efficiency at 100 watts per cob. The major savings comes into play because you have to buy only half the heatsinks etc..

I wrote Timber and asked them if they would make me a 200 watt setup with 2 v7. Still waiting to hear back.

I used a 600 w. hps for a few years & did my best grows with it you've vegged that plant good & I think she is gonna reward you in kind they make 400-600 switchable ballasts I've never used one that big but I've used the 250-400 galaxy & it worked good I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it when I got my led it's nice to veg with the 250 & Finnish with the 400 I might fire up a tent with it this spring

Check out the trunk on this beast!
I just finished a small grow of the same seed, lemon kush.. The bud came out real nice. Very sticky, tight buds for the light I used and smells great. Looking forward to this harvest.. It's grown past the scrog and is now touching the sides of the 39x39 space.

I'm positive that we don't have enough light, but it is what it is..

I should note that we are 22 days since the flip. Switching to Floranova bloom next time we drain her.. Been running 800 ppm with the grow nutes. Willl probably go up to 1000 ppm with the bloom nutes... No other additives except for calmag.

I'm a bit surprised at how long the hairs are.. I never get that in soil... Sorry for the HPS pics..

More of the same anarchy in the closet... It's a fulltime job trying to keep her tame. Not sure why she continues to grow and stretch.. Maybe not enough light.. 400 watts in a cool tube..

If I were to grow the same strain again in the same setup I would flip at 30 days instead of 45 for sure..

How much room to have you move the light up? If any? Good think you have a cool tube
