What are some of the most energizing strains?

Planning on picking up some clones in the near future to get vegging while my girls in flower finish up.

Just wondering what strains you all have found to be energizing (I don't like the couch lock during the day) so I can keep an eye out as I look through strains different dispensaries have available, maybe even order some seeds online.

A few I've seen that may be good choices are:

Sour diesel
Sour tangie
Clementine
Blue dream
Candyland

many noobs get caught by the market conman/thieves ...avoid

your question in reality lies not on what strain

but the time that strain is harvested

as the plant falls to senescence/bud

the grower has a choice of 3 at best

to harvest the plant

1: on the clear trics ...= a clear high like a lsd rush

2: on the white/cloudy trics..= popular and best combining 1 and 3

3: amber trics...= mine! relaxed yeah like a couch potato

4: brown trics...= dead/decaying thc, mostly headache stuff but of use to pain users

good luck

I have strains that are quite calming and others that feel like a big roller coaster with no passenger bars. Harvesting those hazes or other intense Sativas later gets really late and they are still a bit testy. Same strain chop time makes a big difference in effect but genes are genes.

I don't disagree with you that the harvest time changes the type of "high" based on trich opaqueness. But I 100% disagree with

Strain genetics is one of the most integral variables in the type of "high" someone gets.
Yes I agree with you otherwize

we'd be toking that same old strain as grand father did!

I speak generally

but trics are like apples on the tree

not apples will mature at the same time

all the more reason for growers to rotate their pots lol

The above advice is reasonably accurate, You are right that there is a lot of exaggerated or false advertising in the seed market.but I have a bit to add. Although harvesting time certainly does play a big role, so does plant genetics. Its quite well established that CBD-A has analgesic properties as it inhibits COX-2, the same enzyme inhibited by many non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) such as Aspirin. THC-A and THC do not have this same property (In fact, as the articles below describe, they have the opposite effect). This doesn't make high CBD strains “sedative” per say, as sedation and analgesia are not the same things, but they can often be misinterpreted as having similar effects. With the amount of hybridization that has occurred over the decades the gene pool is a lot more “mixed up” - and between two of your average hybrid strains you won't notice much of a difference, effect-wise, that is. I grow a lot of landrace indicas and sativas as well hybrids with very dominant genetics and some high CBD strains, and I always harvest my crop around the same level of maturity. The difference between these certainly is noticeable in both effect and flavor/aroma.

candyland does not meet your needs for uplifting, it is great for naps though.
sour d is a great choice but good luck finding the real cut.

I'd recommend bros grimm Apollo 11. Not the 13, and not cindy. The a11 will get you up out of a chair and cleaning. Clear and thought provoking high with real energy. Daytime meds that can and will keep you up into the night.

Lots of people claim that sativa gets you up and indica puts you down or whatever but I've never heard of anyone attempting even the simplest double blind smoke test of this property. Opinions based sighted tests aren't worth anything for well known and long established reasons. It's probably a situation like monosodium glutamate. Millions of people swear up and down that they're sensitive to MSG, get headaches or whatever, but when scientists did some randomized controlled trials in the 70's their sensitivity to MSG disappeared.

So I just got my clones, for my sativa I got West coast sour diesel
"This near-pure sativa hybrid is nicknamed Kerosene Kush because of its pungent chemical taste and aroma. It has a 90:10 sativa/indica ratio, so the head high is energetic and focused. West Coast Diesel spurs creativity and insight."

For my indica I got bisti Badlands
"Old Mans Purp, OGKB, and WetDream combine to form Cult Classic Seeds' Bisti Badlands, a kushy Indica-dominant strain that offers a nice mix of mental energy and full-bodied buzzing. Bisti Badlands is perfect for those in search of complex smells, flavorful smokes and a suckerpunch of a potent high"

Malawi by ace seeds. Some phenos finish within 12-13 weeks. The high almost creeps in a psychedelic sense, since I get no physical effects, purely mental, stuff sparks my creativity and lasts 4 hours at least.

Jah Goo, Lemonhead OG, Moose 'n Lobsta and Space Bomb are some nice sativa heavy hybrids. If you're near San Diego look for Jah Goo and Bullrider.

Super Lemon Haze is one of the few varieties I've ever smoked that literally energized me. Sitting was not an option, lol! I smoked her in So Cal back in 2011. I recall the Lemon Skunk by DNA and C99 by Female Seeds that I grew were fairly uplifting. Snocap maybe, but I'm not sure you'll find that around. Good luck hunting!
