Im growing a hydro set up (NFT) and Im looking for some nutes to buy but dont know which is best for the money or possibly brands to watch out for. I need something not so complex cuz Im afraid of burning my plants with too much nutes. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations???

i'm using foxfarm. i put 2 tblsp in with a gallon and use it every other watering. my bag seed at 3 or 4 weeks is 110 mm with 6 nodes. you gotta make sure you don't get to crazy, because it will burn it up, but if you use it right it's awesome stuff.

a very easy and cheap set of nutes would be the General Hydroponic Flora series.. As per the LUCAS FORMULA all you do is use 8ml Flora Micro, 16ml of Flora Bloom per gallon of water..( no need for the Flora Grow, the Micro has enough N in it already ) you can use this same formula all the way from the begining of veg to the end of flowering with great results. check my grow for more info

Guys thanks so much for the help, ive been waiting for some posts for so long today! Theres a few choices at ebay, i just have no idea really what i NEED, you know, whats for my needs... Im only gonna try 2 plants for now, and its looking like Im gonna try a bunch of CFL's for lighting along with my 150w growlite. I need a stay @ home gardener to help answer questions lol! I learn vital info every day and it kinda keeps me from getting started, i planned on sprouting back in Nov. and still im stalling lol. I just pretty much need a walkthrough about everything to be sure I guess. ScroG method looks tasty and seems to have a good payback in the end, I may try that as well and see if that helps me make more out of my materials.

Ok.. ill be more than happy to help u with what i know.. I also am using CFLs (only for veg ) so i can give u some help in that field.. ask any questions u need bro,,,, we are here for u...

as far as Scrog... that is INDEED a great choice.. but i must say you should get a grow or two under your belt before u start this method.. my reason for sayin: If you plan to grow 2 plants in scrog, when you get them all filled out into the screen like u want them and then throw them into the flower stage what happens when you find one of them is male? what youll need to do is get the basics down with your first grow.. learn a bit about Mothers, Clones, Preflowers, etc... that way you can determine a suitable mother to cut clones from that you KNOW are female to scrog with. Scroging is by far the way to go... but u gotta have your ducks in a row before u can cook the goose? <--- im high lol

should I just go ahead and start 4 plants then? My res is gonna be a 10g tank, and as mentioned Im going to try NFT, but unfortunately I cant find any feedback about this technique that I need. I need to know what size rock wool cubes I need, i dont know whether to get 4x4 or 6x6.

What should I look for when buying CFL's??? Multiple low wattage bulbs or a couple powerful bulbs? Im looking at some 55w that are almost $20 each.
