What do you feed your flowering males?

Just interested to know what you guys here feed your flowering males? Do you feed them as if they were veg plants, high amounts of PK like females? I know we feed extra PK to females for sugar production, do we feed it to males to help with pollen?

No need really to feed males unless getting lots of pollen is what you want. A little goes a long way. If I want the pollen to make some seeds I'll just cut off a couple branches to stick in a glass of water under a CFL light on 12/12 in a closet somewhere and let t fall on to tinfoil to collect it.

Some extra PK should work for the boys too tho. Like us they are hornier than the girls and don't need much encouragement. :)

Thanks, med. I don't plan on flowering out another male of this strain for a while, so I'm going to collect as much as I can.

Couple follow-ups:
1) how long, on average, does it take for the pollen sacks to mature? (Indica dominant plant)
2) what are the best conditions under which to store pollen?
3) how long is it viable?

If they are already getting fat they could start popping in a week or so. The sacs usually go lighter and even yellow just before they blow their load.

Clean every speck of plant bits out. I have a 180 micron screen I run it thru and it's real clean. I put the open vial in a jar that has colour changing drying crystals, Drierite, in it to draw all the moisture out for a few days then seal the vial. You could just heat up some rice in the microwave to drive off the moisture then put that in a sealed jar in place of the crystals. Storing in the freezer should make it last longer but I just keep it in a jar in the safe.

Lasts a good 6 months but I rarely try using it that long. Usually needed it for a project and don't need it again.

1/4 of that vial above could make thousands of seeds so you don't need ounces of it. :)

At least got aren't flipping your shit cos you got a male.
I was pissed when I thought it was hermie. Then another member noted the absolute lack of pistils. Everything looked female until the lower sacks showed up. Personally, I'd rather have a male than a plant super badly hermied.
This plant has been super robust, definitely worth passing it's genetics on.

That's like this mystery girl here. She didn't seem to want to get all that big. But for her size she packs on the buddage. And the high was pretty fakkin good too.

I'd love to get her crossed with something.
