Hey all, how you doing?

Before i ask the question thought id just say, im a coco convert, and wont be going back to soil, well not for a while anyway. Ended up being in hospital for 5 days and the clones survived,if not thrived and look better than my soil clone(as a standard control). So yeah coco is awesome, love it.

right, so down to the question/query...

to summarise, 3 coco clones, two in 40/60 perlite / coco, one straight coco, just to see as im new to coco.

They are currently on/fed (all per 10lt water @ ec below 0.2)
[grotek Cal-max at 8ml/10lt brings my water to 0.2-0.3 EC]
(( also to being with i didn't have cal-max so was using future harvests Cal-pow at 0.2g/lt to get same e.c and it worked great.))
canna AQUA Vega, 20ml a+ 20 ml b
Cannazym. , 25ml
Rhizotonic. , 20ml
E.C. Is 1.2, fed every 2days min. pH to 5.7-5.8 (over 2days or so the bucket slowly drifts to 6.0but hasn't gotten further as i correct back ever 2 days to 5.6-5.7 and by then the 10lt is gone so...)
all is well, but i want to put at least one of them into flower next week, but looking at the bottles of Aqua FLORES they have a huge K value. If i remember its NPK 4-4-11, and to me that will mess with the coco's buffer of you get what i mean.
So i am thinking to just stick with the VEGA which is 6-3-8 and maybe add 1.5ml/lt of canna PK 13/14 when the flowers hit and until flush, or maybe less,(?)
Im using the PK 13/14 on the mother and her sisters at the moment and they have swollen a fair bit so would probably just do that but they are in soil, and so have never been fed that high an E.C. Also they are on a weak Lucas formula of A.N.'s jungle juice with the PK and Cannazym. Working great ,so i do also have the option to use that stuff, but would prefer to stay away as i would have to change the combo slightly, also it probably would take a grow to tweak it too.
As a side note I'm dissolving my own tricontanol powder as a foliar at the moe and am seeing great results.

anyway ,before i rant anymore, any advice, like don't use the flores in coco, haha, would be great.
And if you cant tell i dont really want to by more bottles of salts to feed these plants when they are doing good you know.

Thanks and take it easy.

I recently made the change to Dyna-gro. 2 bottles total. One while theyre in veg, one in flower. No mixing of both in the middle phase. And thats all i need as far as nutrients go. The only other things i have are hygrozyme and snow storm ultra. So 4 bottle total for all growth stages. Oh! and one bottle of molasses that will probably last until the end of time. Consider making the change after your current nutes run out or contact them and theyll send you testers since you like to do side by side comparisons.

But with your current nutes, id start off slow. Especiallyy with the pk 13/14 or the aqua flores. You have everything you need to grow plants fully so dont buy anything else. But really consider messaging dyna-gro for a sample pack. Youll give away the rest of your nutes hahaha.

hey bunny

i use canna coco, it doesn't have a veg/flower difference, you can use for both. seems pretty good, past 3 grows. give it a try.

Aye and thank you budbro18, i agree i don't need to buy anything else. Haha, hence the non coco specific feeds. Works great though.
I was certainly going to be careful with the PK 13/14 , but 1.5ml/lt in my water is 0.3 e.c., so i thought if i was going to use it i would drop the VEGA down by about 0.3 e.c. I can deal with the math when it comes to it ay.. So still maintain an E.C of 1.2 but with like 15-17ml a and b and the Pk 13/14 for example.
Also the more i think about it the more i don't even want to go near the FLORES in coco. Then again i may try it with one, as coco flushes and re buffers so easily.
And thanks for the dyna-grow tip, i hear nothing but good things, isn't homebrewer using dyna grow too.?.
Only problem i have is getting the stuff over here in the uk. Even on ebay its the same price in shipping as it is for a bottle. Haha. Granted a sample would probably be just the cost of shipping so i may drop them a line suggesting it. Thanks though, i will check out there website.

Yeah , thx green troll i have seen the canna coco, its another £14 in my hydro store,,and as said i have all the salts i could need really. Out of interest whats the canna cocos NPK.? As it doesn't say on their website, and also do you use the PK 13/14? It dose say to use it in there coco schedule on their website... I will have to re-read your thread ay and see if you mention it.

thanks again though... I had another question but in the process of typing i have forgotten....?.....!. Stoned fool i b.

Hiya M8,

I ran a set of clones in straight coco from cutting and after 1 week of just ph'd tap water with a bit of cal mag, I started feeding them 350ppm mix of Coco A&B at 1/4 str., Cannazym and Rhizo at 1/4 str. along with H&G root excelurator at 1/4 str. Ph'd at 5.8 and they literally exploded from the end of the second week. I then went back to 850ppm veg feeding for another 2 weeks.
I am new to coco as well, I use about 10% perlite ( coarse) and top feed ( sprayers). I completed my first grow just last month and currently in week 3 of flower on the second round. I like the "glow" the plants seem to get in coco, I did not have that in my first grow with a soilless mix of peat, vermiculite and perlite.
I think one of the key elements to a strong clone is taking them from the mother between 1 to 2 hours after a good watering/feeding. After a week, they should be able to pull a light mixture of nutes for a week, then go back to regular veg level nutes

Peace and Great Grows

yeah, i think if i offer to pay for shipping they would be nice to me.

Haha yeah i hear good things about hydrozyme , just its about the same price a the cannazyme. Like the idea of an unlimited shelf life though.

thanks again all.
