What if you put an air curtain in the bottom of your pots...?

would this work?
just a thought.
has anyone tried doing this.
run the airtube(s) through a drainhole in the bottom of the pot and then hook up the airstone/aircurtain in the bottom of the pot.
fill with your soil or soiless stuff.

already tried this extensively 5 years ago. Result was airpockets that dried out the soil inside the pot and did not stimulate root growth. Roots need O2 but in very small controlled amounts in soil. Hydro and aeroponics are different as roots are always kept wet. Good idea, it just doesnt work well in soil I'm afraid.

to much air will push water away and make it too dry
