When I was a kid I grew Afgan Hash plant ... and that only faithfull straind my family owned and got back to the states about 20 years ago .. the seed lost alot of genitics or something over the years .. but before harvest I would give a few minor razor cuts to the top of the plants .. just little nicks and small paper cuts almost... but it would stimulate the plant to bruise and heal ... rushing nutrients to that part of the plant or something .. ...but it help me spread the purple that ran in the leafs to the buds ... Giving me that really nice and pretty purple bud .. sort of weird .. not over ripe or anything .. but it tasted great and it was all natural outdoor bomb as we called it back home .. all organic. tasted and smelled great .. 4 miles out in nowhere we could get a we could smell the crop of only 45 or plants about a football field away when wind was right . Just thought i would comment .. on that and I was bored .. haha.

Purple kush is nothing special, indica dominant kush strain. All kush originated as Afghani or Hindu kush form the Kush mountain ranges. Purple kush is probably just Afgan crossed with a dominant purple strain. I do believe it was Purple Passion crossed with Hindu Kush if I remember correctly.

Purple kush seeds dont all grow purple though. I get PK all the time, its never purple, its always green and Fucking Chronic!

I Grow PK.
Origins: Purple Afghani x Hindu Kush
There is no real seeds of PK, all the dad's have died out! There is only mommas, you have to get clones.
heres my first and second grow, both PK - second only 2 week into flower

Technically they could easily make purple kush feminized seeds, but the purple trait doesnt pass through seeds so well, so they would be getting a LOT of complaints from angry growers complaining that only 1 or 2 of 10 seeds grew purple, even then the ones that do grow "purple" usually arent what people expect, most people think "purple buds" means "purple nugs"

The purple genetic trait is only a possibility. Your "purple plants" can be purple, but its usually nute deficiencies or stress (low night temps) that bring out the purples.

Just because your purple strain has the ability to produce purple anthocyanin pigments doesn't mean they will. Normally it would be from seasonal changes (when all weed was grown Outside ) and cooler night time temps.
