hey RIU,
Just setting up my first grow and concerned about the material in which I'll be using for my scrog screen. I don't have it setup quite yet, mainly because I don't want to get the wrong materials. I hear various opinions on different options, such as twine leaving "hairs" in the bud and thin wires "cutting" into or growing into the plants. What do you guys use and have experience with? Thanks as always my dudes :leaf:

3 inch garden trellis netting. Bout 8$ for 5'x30' at local big orange box hardware store. I have used up to 5inch squares but they kinda sucked compared to a smaller hole.

Forgot my pic
(Gunslinger is the strain with a dual QB 288 light running at about 200 watts)
Hey buddy was just curious if you have any issues with using the mason line for your net? I hear of folks having problems such as cutting into buds during flower with different materials but what's your experience with mason line?

No issues with mason line. I do find the colored line works a little better, and when I harvest I cut the line and slide it out so I don't damage anything. The only time I have damaged the plants was I have been lazy/cheap and decided to reuse the net by pushing the plant back trough it and missed a part ot two. I tried hemp twine once -that was a disaster.
I also do vertical scrog too

I just use fencing wire. U can buy rolls of it. Cut to size and zip tie on.
I was thinking of trying to do something like that with the fencing wire. I've heard of folks buying it in 1"x2" squares so if anything I could cut it for 2"x2" squares I'm trying to achieve. Have your scrog screens always been fencing wire?
