What strains is everyone running now

I am getting ready to start my first grow. Just finishing setting up my tent. I hope to have 2 - Cluster Bomb from Bomb Seeds and 2 - Sugar Black Rose from Delicious Seeds. I am going to germinate my seeds starting tomorrow. I'm doing DWC under 600 watt. I have done a lot of research and as long as I keep it simple (KISS) I believe I can have a good grow.

Welcome MMR! This is a great place for assistance, if needed.

I just flipped my second grow(first came out great because of assistance here) of 6 (MOB x 2, AfroDite x 2, Green Crack x 1, Pineapple Express x 1).

Grow #3 just in veg week 1(Blue Dream x 1, Strawberry Blue x 1, Chem Dawg x 1, MOB x 1, Pineapple Express x 1, AfroDite x1).

I've got 8 cuttings in a bucket cloner(MOB x 5, Green Crack x 1, Afro Dite x 1, Pineapple Express x 1). I see activity and a couple little roots after three days-cool!

I built a room in my basement with enough room for my personal meds. 600W MH for veg, 600W HPS for flower.

I'm doing well for a newb. Though, mind you, I've never cracked seed 1. Every (little)bit of my experience is with clones. It works wonderfully for me though. Perception is reality. IE: I'm happy!

Thank you SleepyBud, I have read a lot of threads and there is a wealth of knowledge here. I came to Maine patients because! well I am both, a Mainer and a patient and I hope a grower. Anyways I have my 4 bucket DWC going with 2 Sugar Black Rose and 2 Cluster Bombs. I germinated 3 of each and they all germinated so I got some soil and a couple 1 gallon pots and planted the extras. Not going to let them go to waste since they germinated. Haven't got a lot to report. The buckets are full with lite nutrients (200 on the TDS Dipstick), the pH is 5.7-5.8 in all the buckets and I put my MH light up as far as it will go for now so I don't cook them. Again thanks SleepBud for the hey and see you around here.

Your very welcome, MaineMooseRider! Sounds like you have a cool set-up too! Is it very labor-intensive? I've been afraid of any kind of hydro because I've heard that you really have to pay attention to your rig numerous times daily and if something goes down, you can lose a whole crop in a short period of time. Please tell me if I'm mistaken, or you have a different opinion.

I'm a real inexperienced soil guy, but have had some very exceptional guidance! I think soil is more forgiving, though. I have really hard well water that nearly killed my first attempt at cloning. I have to use store-bought spring water for the cloning bucket(and the water I spray the clone leaves with).

Hey SleepyBud, you are not wrong, completely. Yes, it has taken me awhile (4 months) to save and get everything I wanted to start growing. I am disabled with failed back surgery and have been staying in bed a lot, too much. I did DWC to try and give me something to do besides watch tv. I have hurt myself over and over again setting this up and taking care of it, but I think it will benefit me in the end. Yes, the electricity goes out for too long and all the plants will drown. The air pump stop working and the plants die. The only thing I think I can say is that with DWC as long as you don't over feed and keep the water between 5.7 to 6.2 everything will be ok. If you happen to over feed plants in soil you can be in just as much trouble and not a lot of ways to correct where with DWC, I can change the water and redo the nutrients and I may have just stunted them a bit. I don't know for sure, like you I have read a lot of the stuff on these forums and a couple books and everybody has an opinion. I probably started with the hardest method of growing but I liked what I read and as I said I was trying to give myself something to do and help myself in the end. Also, like I said I have to plants in soil, one of each strain and if I really screw up one way hopefully I will still have the others. Lol heck if I know, lol just having some fun seeing if I have any green thumb in me. Thanks for chatting

^ that is my main concern about growing indoors... power outages/flickers messing up timers/light schedules, etc.

sorry to hear about your back pain, moose. i saw a guy on youtube a few years back in a wheelchair that had a full operating grow desk custom made for his use, it had everything for him to lower and raise with a button, built in areas for his clones, mother plants and buckets that he picked up using hand grips/clothes hanger lines to move things around. it was a neat setup. if i ever find the video again i'll post it.
