you are correct in that pics and other items can be traced, but lets be real. every IP address that logs in is recorded, those are easily traceable back to the house of origin. The reality though, is that we are in a MMJ State and many of us are registered patients just taking care of ourselves, not dealing/wholesaling out of state (which is who they really want). there are MUCH bigger fish for them to fry and resources are limited. my 2 cents

No problem, glad you got it worked out. If you have any other issues/questions feel free to ask away, I've been running this type of system for over 7 years and have even built a couple from scratch. You can really grow some nice plants with these units and its not hard to pull a half pound per plant or more if done right.

digital pictures have a nice 'feature' built into them that records all kinds of data into the picture. new technology (like an iPhone or other device that records the users' location. some digi cameras do this too) allows anyone with the right tools to know the exact location where the photo was taken.
there are ways around this. like pulling up the photo on your laptop while sitting in a Starbucks and snap a photo of the screen ... then use it. there are also ways to manipulate the data encrypted in the file, but that can be a bit of a pain IMO .... use google if interested in trying.
as for tracing IP addresses .... it's enough to know that each server records the IP address of every visitor, reguardless of what they tell you. it's not that tough for a gov agency to break into a server (especially one on foreign soil. they have a LOT more leeway offshore and not dealing with US privacy issues that could entangle them) and snag what they want.
the question again is, do they really care? not that much. if they did, you would see the big breeders go down first - CaliConnect, TGA, Bodhi, etcetcetc. cut off the head and it's easier to manage the herd. but they haven't .... in YEARS. so I don't really care at this point myself.

I guess I should have asked "traced why?" IMO, the big growers have more to fear than Johnny Law. Big underground business can create some strange bedfellows.
In almost every case the pics and discussions here are micro-scale and certainly within the law, at least in my state. I have, on occasion, seen wide vistas of plantings that I would never show. No reason. I do strive for tight shots and a careful scan of the perimeter of the pic for tells before I snap. But that's just the years of operational deception habit.
