I planted around 30 seeds today. A bunch of CBD rich stuff( mango haze, medi haze, critical mass, cannatonic, dieseltonic) and some of my stuff.

Hello. New to the group. Cant believe I found such a great and informative sight. I have had a medical card for 3 years and I am tired of going to the dispensary and paying that price so I am going to start growing my own. I would like to become good enough at growing my own for myself that in time I can branch out in a primary caregiver role. I guess, I am just looking for advice and tips for starting my own grow (6 plants). This is coming from someone with very little knowledge in growing marijuana. I will be growing in my basement at first then after time move into someplace off the property. What am I looking for as starting average price to set up a small indoor grow. Not looking to spend thousands. Maybe a couple hundred or a thousand to start? I don't even know what stuff costs. Thanks for any and all advice guys!!

You don't need to post your message three times. Everybody who comes here reads everything, I guarantee it.
A thousand, give or take a couple hundred, should get you started right.
You'll want to order some seeds from someplace like The Attitude.
I know you will have questions, but do some reading first. A lot of reading. There are newbie forums and how-tos to get started on every type of grow. People will be a lot more inclined to help with specific questions rather than step by step doing it for you kind of thing.
Good luck!

Sorry do you mean the message on different threads? I didn't realize that was frowned upon, just wanted to make sure it was in the right place. I really appreciate the help. Just trying to get a feeling for it. Im really liking MOB around here, and just tried a new one for me, Blue Dream. I got to read up on what strains are best or most forgiving. Hoping for the best!

Ive been doing a lot of reading and found the answer to my question about the cultivation fee. Since I am already a patient I can just grow the 6 for myself without paying the fee. There is so much good information on here. Even though I have been a patient for almost 3 years now (I have Crohn's Disease) I know almost nothing about growing my own. I shall continue reading and learning. You guys sound like you know what your talking about, there is so much bad info out there it's scary!

Hows that berry bomb anyway ? i thought about ordering some
It was a great producer. Not as sweet as I expected, but you can taste the berry mix. Compared with MOB it is a more energetic cerebral high, and the buds arent quite as compact; more sativa influence in this hybrid. I like it, but with so many strains out there I chose not to take clones to run again. Now, if I can find that THC bomb pheno I had a few yrs. ago...

Also does anyone know if I am just growing for myself do I need to pay the 300$ cultivation fee?
No, only if you are caregiving. Oh, I see youve found the answer. I would say $1000 would get you a setup you wont "grow out of" in a yr. Shop around online, look at grow stores, ask questions. It doesnt take long to spend money growing, so having a good base of information before you buy will help keep some dough in your pocket.

Appreciate it. Hard to wrap my head around the amount of info out there. I just want like one site that says "oh, hi, your growing 6 indoor plants? This is what will work best at the best price." I saw one site the called it a Mid range grow, 4-6 plants, and had the price around $500 for everything you need. Can I start my seedling right out in a 5 gallon bucket or do I need to do all the transferring? I have the space and I have the place Im getting seeds from (Attitude). Just need lights and soil. Is this a set up im going to need special electrical stuff or will my outlets in my house be fine? Not worried about my bill.

Whats the $500 get ya?
Its not the outlet you need to worry about, its the breaker @ the box and how much power your already pulling off that circiut.

I'm new at this too. I'm just 'bout ready to do my first harvest(my legal 6). I think, to do it right, you'll spend around $1000.

Be careful not to overload your breakers. If needed, have a real electrician add another circuit.

This is a great place to get information. Very friendly and helpful people reside in this community. Welcome!
