In short, none of those are good options..

I could be wrong, but I don't think that aluminum disperses enough heat to run those at 1400 or 2100 mah.. You need the large pin heat sinks I believe..

The vero 29's run at 1400 mah are pretty damn bright and throw a lot of heat when run full force. I can't even imagine them at 2100.

The reason this kit is cheap is because they aren't giving you the proper heatsinks.

This is the way to go if this is the road you are headed down.

While yes you are correct you would need the pin heatsinks, RapidLED will switch those for you if asked. I just had them build me a 4 x kit of vero 29 C's for 400$ shipped to Canada

I would think you are wrong. Actively cooled vs passively cooled.... I think that having active cooling will allow the heatsink to cool just fine. I use pin heatsinks but wouldn't hesitate to use the one in those kits either.

Oh I didn't know it had active cooling... Should work then..

The only problem that I've read with active cooling is that if your fans drop out on you then your cobs melt. Passive sure is expensive though.

if vero runs at 1400ma, and the driver is 3000ma, 40volts, what happens? it melts down?

So, If the vero is 1400ma, but the driver is 900ma, 40 volts, nothing, but light works more efficiently?

Check.out.cobkits I built.a.8 citizen cob frame for I think $300-$350 and he will ship to anywhere probably be cheaper to DIY and my lights work great I bet u could.buld a light for about $150 for what u need well good.luck
