My Plants are about 3 weeks into flower and I just noticed this on one bud towards the lower end of the plant all the others look fine. I have no idea what it is, does anyone know? It seemed a bit dry and then it started to crumble off.

Looks like bud rot (mould) to me. What is the humidity reading in your grow room? Do you mist your plants?

Growing outside had a bit of heavy rain a week or so ago, but the climate has been hot, breezy and dry since then, plus no other buds are affected. I thought it may have been bud rot, but I wasn't sure if the rest of the bud on this part stays good will it be ok or is this particular bud a goner?

Well with recent heavy rains, I would think the humidity should be higher for at least a week afterwards with the evaporation. Warmth and excessive moisture is a great breeding scenerio for mould spores.

As the other poster suggested, cut that bud off ASAP so the spores can't spread to your other buds.

Check that bud carefully to make sure you don't have caterpillars in there. That's what caterpillar damage looks like. Bud turns brown, portions fall off. Wouldn't want you to miss a potential problem. Best of luck.
