Auto's are for stoners that can't keep up with something as simple as TIME. (Knowing when to switch lights to flowering mode)
To each his own, autos work fine for some people. You can control regulars more, and get a better end product from them though
so why are you on an auto forum ? Just to trash auto's?

There are plenty of potent auto's out there. They will be as good as photos for sure I know because I grow both.Truthfully you can take a budda cheese reg and a budda cheese auto and the potency on both are great tho I do think the auto is a smoother smoke. You'll get a lot of people bashing autos but if you run them on good nutes and a decent light cycle youll get good weed, hey but what do I know I have more t-5's running than 600 or 1000 watt lights. We will save that bashing for a later post lol

ding ding ding we have a winner

think about all the small scale growers growing bag seeds that cant move their sub par " dro "
if their customers can just put some CFL's on 24/0 and grow their own shit :D
that is the only reason i can see the actual hate for auto's
me growing them doesnt effect anyone but me and my EX dealer :D

Plain and simple autos are a waste of time and money. 18/6-24 to achieve maximum yield on an auto costs more money all while most likely being less potent. You can grow 12/12 from seed and get a pretty decent yield in maybe 2-3 weeks longer and not have your plants crossed with something that's basically garbage. This saves money while providing better results. This is why people say to disregard. Because people who are growing autos solely are not really using their heads. This is additional wear and tear on equipment and everything else on top of having shit genetics mixed in.

I've grown and smoked a few autos when I started, because I listened to bad advice from people spreading this auto bullshit. If you can't grow a normal cannabis plant you can't grow and autoflowering plant, shit's not that fuckin hard and they aren't that fucking different as far as ease of grow goes. A noob can kill an auto the same way they can kill a regular photoperiod plant.
i agree with most of that, i have never grown an auto when i get them as freebies i throw them away
but i can see they could be useful for outdoor growers in colder climates that wish to flower the plant during summer
rather than autumn ,
or folk can put them in their mother rooms/tents etc and they can flower along side mother plants

i have heard of some growers buying auto clones already in flower
i think some newbies are lead to believe that fem autos are easier and you cant stress them into hermies as they do not need a dark period etc
many newbies being obsessed with hermies and stress go for these autos thinking they the safer option to start with

peace

oh, I believe you, but most people don't take the time to research how to grow autos, and there is almost nothing about growing them that is like growing photos. My question is which strain is best for potency and yield that is available in regular, non-feminized autoflower seeds? I'm growing indoors.
Im confused, r u looking for a photo period regular seed? Not sure if their are nom femmed auto's available. I believe all autos are femmed but correct me if Im wrong!

Like I have stated I have only grown one auto so no shit lol. The reason I grew it was to fill space in the veg room. It was a waste of effort as it turned out not to be a true auto (beware Kannabia's auto strains) and needed 12-14 hrs to flower. Again they would be a great midsummer finisher for outdoor grows here in Ontario IMO, if they were potent. I'll let you know in 8-10 weeks lol.

I did quote that post for a reason lol! I'm not sure the newb (me included) gives much thought to hermies, etc. i think its the time thing that draws them in (me again lol). My first hydro photo grow was White Russian and I vegged it for 5 weeks only to find out that a 20 day veg would have been perfect due to how huge they got lol. So here I was thinking a 13-14 week grow period versus 8-9 weeks for an auto (seems they take a bit longer though) and the auto sounded great! It was the lack of potency that swayed me to go photo, i think that has improved by all the testimonials.
