When Do You Start Your Garden?

I was looking in some really old "better homes and gardens" garden books, and they were showing some pics of some really cool looking bonsai peach and orange trees. They were in containers and had fruit. The books were circa 1960, so they should have many differrent breeds by now.

Yeah I looked for bare root dwarf trees I could do in containers this year but I couldn't find any in the local nurseries around here.

40acres, the bonsai effect for fruiting trees is called esplanier. That is the reason I wanted to grow fruit tree in the first place. Do a google on it - I think it's very cool.

Im not starting anymore seedlings until the 1st week of may. I have my hands full with about 35 pepper plants and about 10 tomato plants. Im running out of room.

Hank, every time I see that Tony Danza picture I laugh. I love it! Reminds me of "who's the Boss." What tomatoes and peppers do you like to grow?

Well im glad it makes you laugh:-) Right now i have some Big Boy Hybrid Tomatoes, Bell peppers and sweet banana peppers vegging as of now. I've decided to do some Herbs this summer as well. Im looking to sell vegetables this summer to earn some cash so im going pretty big garden wise. Now i just have to get my Rototiller fixed:-(
