When it comes time to flush my plants, what should my plant look like? Should all the leaves be dieing or while they are still yellow.. how done should the trichomes be?

There's many who think flushing is a waste of time.
I checked my plant daily at the end of flowering to see what was going on. A couple of weeks before she finished she stopped taking up nutes, and yep her leaves start to fade away, and also slowed right down on water. Just as this happens is when I start flushing.
The idea is you want her to eat up all the stored nutrients, but still have enough to finish flower. Like trying to drive your car home, but arriving with nothing in the tank.
(And a b"$£y good curing just to finish off your fine, fine buds!)
I had better shut up now...I feel a ramble coming on!

depends on the strain and stresses in your environment. 2 weeks prior to harvest is the recommended time to flush, but only after working with a strain in your growroom will you be able to predict exactly when you will harvest. I've had plants stay a healthy green right up till harvest, and others that suck all the nutes out of their fanleaves towards the end, so that's not a reliable metric.

If I had to guess, I'd do it after most of the trichs turn cloudy... ?
