When Mary-Jane met Peter...

Well, still in love with 'old' diy designs ....

Specially when they are able to grow other species ,equally well ....

MJ met St.Peter...

And they both live hapilly ..

(in my mind,literally speakin' ... )

Cheers !

And it's not pictured all of it ..

Weird shit ,though ...
Smell-taste is super fruity ,with 'pine/resin' hints here'n'there..
But the High is ''weird' ...
Kinda longish I'd say ( 2-3 hours ) ....And kinda ...Outworldly
( No ,without parallel consumption of St.Peter's tea ! :-P ) ..
Chaotic ...Reaaalllyy weird ...First time in my life I'm experiencing this ...
Maybe , there's some ( of that rare ) THCV on those genetics ?

( Not quite sure what strain exactly it is and from where it is from _)

Is it "Killer bud" ;)

Now ...
That is a good idea for a future DIY project ....

The same Case design as before ( GD-SDS : Riveted Aluminium angles over a massive aluminium heatsink, forming the case.Lid cover holds the two fans, electronics & cable connection plug ) ,but without the electronics inside ....

Just the leds ( Could be any type of leds ,since the metal core pcbs are custom and home-made from raw metal core pcb sheet ),the mcpcb(s),
the heatsink and the fans .....

A Main PSU unit Containing a Switching Supply Power unit and the buck drivers for each ' line ' ....
( Along with manual override power adjust control ,Fan contol, etc )

A Microcontroller circuit ( or board ) to digitally control (through PWM TLL signal lines) the buck drivers ...

Simple software to control/program everything via Serial/usb connection from a PC..

And ready ....

( Leds : The new Generation of Oslons seems superb ...
And I'd choose a control 'line' of WWs ( mix of 3000K 80-85 CRI & 2700K 90-95 CRI )
A second one for the Hyper reds ...
And a third for the NWs and/or blue leds ...

Four or five panels will do ( 50 leds each panel )....

Hmmm...
Interesting ...

And this time I'd definately choose the OSlons 150's ,instead of the 80's ....

Come to think about it ,more carefully ...
Well ...

( Reconsidering is a sub-procedure of evolving,I wonder ....? )

Since NW ~4500K and WW 3000K leds ,both of 75-80 CRI ,are more efficient than the ones of higher CRI ...

Why not to have the " all-time-classic " ratio 2:1 ( Warm: Cool -neutral at this case) of those two types of leds ,
as the " bulk " light power ?

Two types of Phosphor Conversion Whites ,to cover the photosynthetic needs ,
offering a wide range of wavelengths ,with relatively high efficiency ....

The main ' engine ' ....

And then ,in another 'line' few blue leds of mixed wls (440-470 nm ) ...
For photomorphogenic purposes ,mainly ....
( compact plant,dense wide foliage ,lots of branches/ budsites ,lateral rooting,stomatal opening,etc )
Not much power ,needed...
And for sure widest lens angle possible ...

Sounds useful ,for early vegging ....

And last but not least ,the "muscle " line ....

-When all the protein synthesis is over ( Vegetative stage ) and the plant(s) ,
start to cease "shooting " new growth ,while slowly entering the reproductive
phase ....When Carbonhydrate biosynthesis ,now takes the throne ....

Enough Hyper reds ,
along with some WW 2700 K of high CRI ( 90-95 ) .........

That 'duo' will "bulk " seedpods ( flowers ) ,beyond Nature's wildest dreams ....

...

I think it is worth a try ,afterall .....

Just an idea ...
A panel of 49 leds ( 7x7 ) ..

Line #1
1 x 400 nm Violet
4x 460-470 nm Blue

Line #2
4x 2700 K / 95 CRI ( 440-450 nm blue die )
12x 660 nm Hyper( Deep) Red

Line #3

20x 3000 K / 80-85 CRI ( 440-450 nm blue die )
8x 4500 K / 75-80 CRI ( 440-450 nm blue die )

Hmm....

What am I missing?

The first sentence in both Line 2 & 3 are WW, but you have in parenthesis -

( 440-450 nm blue die )

Shouldn't they be ~ 550 ?

What I mean is that the 'pump' die beneath the phosphor layer is a blue die peaking at 440-450 nm ..

550 nm is green ..:-P
