When should I plant my plants?

Sorry if this has already been asked, I tried searching and a lot of irrelivent posts came up.

The risk of frost where I live ends April 23rd, should I plant then? I have 5x AK-48. Thanks

Edit: a lot of websites just say to plant in spring but last year I planted my blue mystic auto flower over spring break and it grew less than a foot tall and made less weed than could fill a bowl.

If you are going to veg indoors, you can plant anytime now. Just put the plants outside when the frost danger is over.

And when figuring safe go outside dates, keep in mind the plant has to be sexually mature {4-6 weeks} before length of day and early flower becomes an issue. So in most parts of the county, and with most strains, it's safe to plant now.

Although I would wait until after the new moon on the 15th. Always plant above ground crops when the moon is waxing {getting bigger}. The 20th and 21st, and 26th-28th are all good above ground days this month. This is the site I use for planting. When it says it's good for planting tomatoes, that is when I plant my weed.

Also autos like lots of long hours of sun. Wait until summer to grow any outdoor autos.

I started indoor about a week ago to let my plants get nice and strong before i put them outside, still have about two weeks before i plan on moving them out. I’m in ohio so the storms get pretty bad here throughout the spring so I’m working on thickening up the stems so when i put them out they have a good base.
