when to flush

Hi Daniel,

I'm just reading through on this topic and opinion is split 50/50. I've got 2 Royal Dutch Critical coming down in two weeks and I'm going to feed them till the end and I'll do the same for the Bagseed Super Lemon Haze that's due to finish flower two weeks after that.

I finished a plant last autumn and only flushed for 1 or 2 days (Or thereabouts, I can't remember how long now) I started smoking it after about 4-5 weeks of curing and it was absolutely sublime. A friend of mine has just finished a multi-variety tent grow and he flushed religiously for two weeks before harvest and we've been smoking it since. We started smoking it after a couple of days it was strong - but harsh. Now about 6 weeks later it's starting to burn real good. In my opinion I think he didn't dry it long enough before beginning the curing process, but you live you learn.

As I understand gardening (ie growing tomatoes and potatoes in your back garden) you don't let up with these things, feed right to the end - don't overdose it though! Food and organic produce become what they are after preparation and curing. When you cut your plant down you most definitely haven't got the finished product, as others have said here, the trick is to get the plant to use up the last of its sugars and starches with a mix of aerobic and anaerobic respiration in a Kilner jar.

This - I believe - is the most critical part of harvest.
