When to start flowering

I am inbetween week 4 and 5 of veg and im getting mixed answers on this i am shooting for a perpetual harvest every other month so should i be moving to flower after 4 weeks? Right now they seem short i have one lst one not just because of how full one of um is its hard to do it but should i start now im shooting for 4 oz every 2 months i know thats very do able with one or 2 plants i am also planing on monster cropping as in taking clones the second week of flowering. I figure that way ill have the free veg area all set to go i started my second set a few days ago with seeds but from here on im going with cloning just my first 2 harvest will be from seed to have a different strain every other harvest. Anyway so should i start flowering now some of the nodes are alternating but not on all shoots but then again i heard that doesnt matter they are about half the height i want them my area is about 3 ft tall so 2 feet of growth is allowed they are around a 9-12 inches now and yes i know theirs 2 in "one" pot but they are separated under the soil its mainly cuz one might be a male cuz it was mixed seeds o had and i cant remember i just know one is fem and one might not if thats the seed i used

Its just i see this big plants and shit and stuff and im going by that but i have to remember thats usually in flower i see um. This is my first grow im confident im getting to harvest and can continue to about 2 years ago i tried and i lost um the first week of flowering from nute burn but now i know a little goes a long way

From seed its going to take 2 to 2.5 months before your ready to flower. Depending on strane there going to double to tripple in size when you go into flower. When there half the end size you want send into flower. Clones typacly are veged for 4 to 6 weeks. This first run will take longer than the clone runs. Another thing monster croped clones are not as easy to root. Take twice as many cuttings at least to make sure you have good stock to continue on.

Sry 2 to 2.5 months in a standard grow tent less time if your area is short. Fyi short plants in soil are harder to care for.

Theyll at least double in size in flowering

Yo dude, a 2 calendar month (bit more leeway than a strict 8 weeks!) harvest schedule is possible and done as follows:

Veg Tent (with seeds / clones)
2 weeks germ & seedling stage / 3 week clone rooting time
4 weeks veg / 3 week veg
2 weeks on switch to 12/12

Flowering Tent
8/9 weeks Flowering

You would need a 3rd separate area for drying also. The 3 or 4 week Veg time comfortably allows for 1 topping and some ongoing LSTing totally fine, though how big they get totally depends on your methods and equipment (mainly lights lol!).

Although it's bit hard to tell from top-down view, your plants look ok size for 4 or 5 weeks veg under CFL (although are u counting 4 or 5 weeks from seed germ or seedling showing 1st true leaves??) and as others said already, they do often shoot up alot in first few weeks of flowering. On above schedule, if you flowering also under CFL's I'd consider around 0.75 to 1oz return per plant to be successful, and though I've never used HPS, they seem to add another 1 to 2oz per plant on above schedule, depending on wattage. Although bear in mind I'd consider those successful figures for a normal yet experienced grower, who maybe isn't optimising all growing factors though is routinely efficient and not making any errors. Which is where the your methods bit comes in lol! If you dialled in and/or total leet you could get more, if you not dialled in and/or total noob you'll get less!

And also, if you are growing mother's for cropping loadsa clones off, then those intended mother plants won't fit timewise into above schedule - as others said too, i personally would veg for at least 8 weeks any plant intended for cloning, so be aware you will need space in Veg Tent for any mother's to sit alongside actual smokeable plants on above schedule. If so then cool, if not you may need a 4th area as Mother Room lol!

Also plant count has didly to do with yeald its all abought light and space.. If you have a 600 watt light it will grow 1 plant 600 watts big or 2 plants 300w.
Plant count goes up individual plant size goes down yeald stays the same.

Thank you that cleared up quite a bit yeah i am now thinking a monthy perpetual might be better then a bi monthly perpetual. Just because my lighting probably wont do much more.then 1-2 oz per harvest and thats what i need a months i dont plan on cutting alot of cutting because its only for personal use so i just need 1-2 oz per month so 1-2 oz per harvest so 1 plant should be ok they are relatively half the size i want and they are on either week 4 or 5 of vegging from first true leaves not from.seed pop see i was stuck on having set vegging when its the flowering that takes up the 90 days or whAtever the grow info says i was confused thinking it was a total which it sounded very quick in that way so ill probably start flowering next week i do know cloning from flower does take a little longer and harder but ive heard its very worth it for perpetual harvests and grow areas with less height the only reason i have 2 in each room right now is for my first 2 harvests just untill i get the timing right and the nutes right and all that and so i can cut a few extra clones without having to stretch veg out so long i dont plan on having a mom just because i just simply dont have the room to keep a larger plant in veg. Im going to clone a few gens then switch strains after degeneration starts taking place ive been pretty much reading up on in for 3 years. Eventually when money is a little easier im.going to upgrade my lighting and tents right now i have homemade cfl lighting system sitting around 600watts using 8 bulbs at different levels and areas. Im slowly switching from cfls to leds mainly cuz CFLs are harder to find for cheap in my area untill i get a upgraded lights and tents so i dont expect big yeilds and more then i expect just small 1-2 oz a month is all i want/ need for now
Right now i am growing cheap so i know not to expect a larger potent harvest but i do hope for what i need. But soon once i get back to work and a few weeks and im back in the swing of things ill start putting away for a 3 in 1 real tent which is what i really need. But they are ao expensive id love to get a full.set up but they are like 1000 so im ganna save 250 300 grab a tent use my lighting and then save 500 600.for some.nice leds for each room.
