Where to find white mylar???

OK all, I'm in the process of designing and building my first grow room (will start another thread for that one) but I'm sold on the white mylar for lining the walls. There is nothing else that comes close to the reflective abilities for anywhere near the same duckets.

So, I've checked every Lowe's, Home Depot, paint store, etc. around trying to find a roll of this magical material. Came up with bupkis...

So, where the hell can I find this stuff in the Pac. NW.?

panda is a poly plastic...6 ml thick... 10' wide usually..and on a 100' roll. Some hydro stores sell it by the foot.

For a cheap ass mylar-type surface...go to Wally world...etc. or a camping store and buy a space blanket. Should cost a few bucks..measures about 4' x 8' or so. VERY thin...but if placed up against a hard surface and stapled..etc it will serve you well for a few grows. The aluminum/reflectivity will come off easily if you spray yer plants alot (why?)...etc...and it tears pretty easily..but again...if you can't find 2 ml mylar at a hydro store..this will suffice for a bit.

If you want white...use flat white paint.

My buddy has the black/white stuff in his room, and said it was the shit to have...but, now that I've seen THIS:

Reflective MYLAR 100' ROLL grow light milar hps mh - (item 180136913798 end time Aug-04-07 11:41:39 PDT)

The heck with the white stuff, I'm going to that more reflective (8% better if you believe advertising) on eBay.

I live in a very rural area, and it's a 35 mi. one way trip just to go to Home Depot or town. (closest stop light is now only 20 miles away...and in my thinking that means civilization is coming too close!). Doubt I've got a hydroponic store within 100 miles any direction, but then again....I just GOOGLED up one right in town..only 40 miles from home...I could be back by lunch! :blsmoke:

Got too damn much work today cause I'm having to renovate the entire garage to move my shop stuff out of what is now going to be my growing cave. Should have that bitch of a job done by tonight, and start on the grow room build tomorrow.

I actually just got done making another room for my mother plants out of 6 mil black and white poly and pvc piping. I got the black and white poly at my local hydro store IGS Innovative Growing Solutions - plastic & mylar sheeting or you can get some from High Tech Garden Supply. I was actually really suprised how strong the the poly is, and it says on htg page that it will reflect 90 % of the light. Plus the black on the other side doesnt let any light escape. I was thinking about useing just white but it wont reflect as good and in my case the light would kepp me up all night.

mylar is alright but it tends to creat creases and hot spots white latex walls and panda film are the best in my opinion.

mylar also has to be cleaned more often.. foliar sprays and fans dirty it up quick.. rips in fans also.. the plastic holds up longer, keeps light in better, and cleans up easier.

and the space blankets arent as effective as the mylar. and the creases fuck it up.

I like the idea of using reflective insulation, it's about a 1/4 inch thick and I imagine it'd help with noise as well (if that's an issue). I was at the dollar store the other day and thought about buying a few silver mylar balloons and just separating the two sides but that seems like a lot of work and I'm lazy.
