First off, thanks a ton to potroast for starting this forum section. It will be nice to be able to address Canada specific issues.

So to kick things off, what province is everyone in? I'm in Manitoba.

Still getting good meds though :P

Still no scrips to be found anywhere around me in Ontario. Thanks for the subforum. There are only 3 MMAR cards in my whole county.

Hey folks. NS here! Not leagal yet, but sent my signed papers in 3 weeks ago, with a 3g per day script( not much I know, but its a starting point class b application). I applied to grow my own as well, but wasnt able to find too much info what that would = in plants. If approved, I plan on starting off with a closet CFL grow.

Anyone know a good canadian site, that might have province specific info?

there is no province specific information, the program is at a federal level, the same conditions/rules apply to EVERYONE

I believe it's 5 plants per gram on your scrip, so 3g would be 15 plants.

Not positive. It's how the math works out on a 7g scrip though. (I grow for two people, both have 7g scrips, and I'm allowed 35 plants each.)

Just realized Oakleys math doesn't quite work out that way...perhaps the number is 4.8 or something stupid, then they round it.

Health Canada sure does hate sharing any more info than they have to huh?

Looks like I'm the first to rep a medical card out of SK!

Got a script for 5g a day, which is 25 plants. I used a doctor in BC that skyped with me to 'diagnose' me.

I've been asked how I found my doctor for my recommendation, I thought it would be a good idea to post it here in case anyone else was wondering.
I first went to MedicalMarijuana.ca and sent them an email explaining that I needed to get medicine for my anxiety. After I clarified that I saw a doctor and was diagnosed with anxiety/depression, they forwarded my email to a place called "Do No Harm" in Kelowna, BC.
I first got in contact with them in january, and after a year and a couple of months, I was FINALLY legal.

I should note that they do charge $400 if you want to be a patient, and i think $800 if you want to be a grower. They won't be up front about it either, they'll have it in fine print and say its for "overhead expenses".

not even going to address most of that, but just fyi, once you have the form with docters signature on it, they cannot stop you from filling out the additional paperwork to grow... that paperwork does not need a docters signature.

I'm actually in the process of that now. So its legit? Once I pay 400 I have to wait a year!?

Yeah. I'm just about to renew my card right now. I asked them bluntly about the payment process, its a flat $400 fee if you want to be a patient or grow for yourself.
But yes, they'll take you through a skype convo with the doctor. It's bizarre but once you do that, they'll sign your paper and it takes Health Canada like 2 - 4 months to process it. I don't think it'll take you a whole year to get approved though.
