Where's the density?

I'm at 4 weeks of flowering (12/12), of which 1.5 weeks have been with HPS. I'm still not seeing any dense build up of fruit, only lots of hairs. My nutes are in proper proportions. Any insight from the experts?

NO great point man! r u counting the time it took fer the pistils to pop, or wen u switched 2 12-12??? wen pistils pop is ur REAL start of flowering. OH but u can switch to 12-12 with no harm done at any time tho, u dont gotta wait fer pre flowers to show

yea you start counting weeks at sex, how long ago did it you see the first hairs? You start from then.
So how many cfl's did you use for veg and for how long? How many watts is your hps?
What strain of mj is it? Did you have light interuptions?

Thanks for all the responses guys.
So I did not fully wait for preflowering before going 12/12. With that taken into account, it's been 3 weeks since first hairs came out. My 400 watt HPS has been on for 5 days (not 7 - I was mistaken). Previously, I used the AeroGarden Deluxe hood. I vegged it for a month using the hood and several 55w auxiliary CFLs.

FuZZyBUDz: I'm interested in what you said about the mutant strain. I don't know the original strain. However, my original strain seeds that were supposed to be all feminized were not, and resulted in cross pollination between two plants I grew from those original strain seeds. That said, the seeds I used here were the result of said pollination.

Wow crazy that fuzzybuds called that just on account of the looks and then you say you used cross seeds that weren't stable. That probably has something to do with it.

That combined with flowering them early, and also there's other factors that go into how fast a plant enters full flower like nitrogen levels during the first week of flowering (you want them low or none at all to jumpstart things) and also if your strain is sativa it's going to take longer. But for 4 weeks they should be bigger either way.

I would say there's nothing you can do now, just wait and hopefully it turns out good!:bigjoint:

most your bulk comes in the last couple wks also try using mollasses 2 teaspoons per gallon of water and you can use it every watering since it is not a nute

FYI, u NEED nitrogen in flowering, its wat keeps ur leafes green and healthy and wen ur leafes r healthy SO IS UR GROWING BUDS. i use 3 ML of grow big from FF, in with my 7 ML of tiger bloom in flowering.

most of your WEIGHT comes in the last couple weeks, NOT size, WEIGHT. (the stuff u cant see, u feel)

FYI if you read my post you'd notice I said to cut nitrogen levels in the 1st week not throughout all of flowering. I use FF nutes as well and I don't give them any grow big during flowering, just big bloom, tiger bloom, solubles, and molasses (4th week and onwards). Tiger bloom and your solubles will provide all the nitrogen you need. Mine are dark green and they are in the 6th week of flowering. Same with every crop I've had.

Thanks for the advice, all. So as long as there are no strain issues, I guess only time will tell. So some flower for as long as 8 weeks? If so, perhaps I jumped the gun. I was just expecting more sooner.

u would think it would, but ive had many issues my last grows with foliage and plants not stretching properly wen induces to flowering, that was due to lack of N. the plant needs good levels of nitrogen goin into flower to help the stretching process to make room fer those delicious buds. i continue using veg nutes the first week into flowering, then switch over to TB but STILL add a bit of GB. well now look.....

does that look healthy to u??? notice the deep green that is in it and this tip is at 7 1/2 - 8 weeks flowering. no dead leafes or curling, and she is still plumping up. im not MAKIN u do i just think u shouldnt have such a closed mind to wat others hav experienced and learned throo our growing experiences. i was NEVER tryin to argue with u about it, just stating FACTS.:leaf:

i'm not going to lie that is one weird looking plant but in the end what really matters is you tried and extremely successful or slightly successful it all help with your learning curve to better your quality of growing, u should and probably will have appreciation for what happens no matter how it turns out, you'll see.;-)
