Which AeroGarden Model

I'm looking for advice on which AG model would be best for growing 1 - 3 plants.

Right now I have my eye on two:

1) AeroGarden Extra Elite
2) AeroGarden 6 Elite

I see that the AG Extra has more light and it's higher. Would the AG extra be a good fit for a first time grower?

I'd say yes. The AG Extra should be fine. The one that raises the most, allows for a 24 light cycle and has 3 rather than 2 lights. I'm using the AeroGarden Veggie pro for my fist grow and it's working great for me!

In terms of the number of plants you are going to grow in it; unless you do not know the sex of the seeds, plant max 3. If you know; do not plant more then 2; believe me, the root growth will ovewhelm the res.

What strain were you thinking about growing? Also, I'd suggest some supplemental CFL lighting if you can.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not really sure about the strain. I have read that Lowryder #2 might be good for this setup. I will definitely try to add extra CFL lighting. I've also been reading that a fishtank bubbler and osc fan are good additions.

Do you have any recommendations for a strain that is hardy and not terribly hard to grow?

There are plenty that will thrive in an ag with supplemental lighting and airStone/Pump.

I've personally not grown any Auto strains in the AeroGarden yet.. I am curious about the amount of root growth; can a 6 Pod AeroGarden support the root growth of 3 Auto Strains?

I am growing Nirvana's Blue Mystic in my VeggiePro, planted march 9th; flowering for 11 days now.

all I can say is, if you're not going auto; get a fem seed.
