Hey guys, Just Got an extra $300 and was wanting to buy a new LED panel for my 2'x2' tent. I already have a Pro-Grow 180 in there, and its working great so far. But, I wanna Grow more plants so I need more light. I was going to buy the Blackstar 240 but now that I actually have the money, Im finding it hard to make up my mind. So if you could, Please let me know what you think. Should I get the blackstar 240, should i just get another Pro-Grow 180, or should I get a different LED all together? I have strictly $300(plus whatever shipping costs lol). so let me know what you would do?

I have 1 240w blackstar veg light and it's working great, though I want another. Just ordered 5 240w blackstars for flower :)

how well do ya think a 90w tri band UFO and two daytime CFL's will work in a small tent with prop nutrients for veg> Then Swapping out CFLs to soft white for flowering would do? first timer Thanks for all...

Depends on the actual wattage; most 90 UFos are ~ 70 watts, BUT, a well PAR balanced 70 watt LED can grow some serious small plants. Check out www dot ledgrow dot eu.

About 3 years ago, I got back into growing after a long hiatus. I was smitten by LEDs as my 400w hid never did much for me, and the transformer was very noisy. A 3 yo UFO has poor PAR (>90% red), but I still use it in my starter closet. I simply supplement with cool white CFLs + 23 w Repti-Glo throughout veg

a blackstar 240 runs barely over 100 watts actual current draw - for the same money and electic cost as your ufo and cfls you get a hella lot more light.

Correction, a Blackstar 180 barely pulls over 100W, a Blackstar 240 pulls around 130W.
