Who Gives More?

If anything, why are we trying to assign and make political the issue of charity? Rich and poor, conservative and liberal. Those with a conscience do what they can.
how many times has it been said that the left is composed of people who care about their fellow human beings and the right is all about selfishness and greed? how often has is been written in this very forum that conservatives don't give a damn about anyone but themselves? charity was made a political issue when liberals declared the totalitarian actions of their heroes to be acts of humanitarianism instead of the social engineering and blatant power grabs we all know them to be.

Charity is a good thing. Forcing people to provide "charity" is a contradiction. Charity must be freely given.
Demanding charity from another, is an abandonment of self responsibilty.

When people demand, I give them the finger AND poop on them.

Sheesh. You are paranoid dude. If you haven't already, you need to join a militia so you can be with others that share your delusional beliefs.

Just a thought for you all, when people give money to charities you can guarantee that not all the money given is passed on the people who actually need it, that is where the flaw in charities is ,the same with teletons walkathons etc. Most of the money is spent on logistics ,wages (yes wages) and other things.I know this because I was talking to a man who does a lot of charity for Africa but the difference with him is that every cent he collects goes straight to the people who need it ,He does this by sending the money thru the bank to the African bank where the Missionary Nuns receive it in the local currency where it can then be used to buy ,build, feed the people .A school has been built and all the children can now have an education and the town is much better now
Everyone should take a note from this mans book

It all depends on the charity. You should always check to see what percentage of the money you give actually goes where you want it to go. You can say what you want about charities using some of the money to operate but people who work at these charities gotta eat too. Is it so bad that people who are doing charitable work earn a living? Some charities go overboard on advertising and marketing but they gotta get the word out. :weed:

Now don't get me wrong I know they do good work and they have to eat but its when they make TV ads costing $$$$ using the same pictures of dying black babies that were used in the 80's -90's ,We all know how bad its needed but I just think the money could be used for more needed things then a 5 min ad showing how the first world continually turn their backs on the third world ,most people just flick the station
Anyway more is needed to be done on the ground where its needed not in the offices miles away from the problem

Ps love the avatar its been years since i seen Labyrinth used to love that film

Here are my suggestions. Don't donate to causes that you disagree with their methods.

I think the best thing people can do is to become personally involved if they think more needs to be done. What are some of your favorite charitable activities?
