thats one thing i will say about cfl . it always makes a healthy looking plant and led tubes.
Bryan O'Connor I too would like to test my skills w some real deal equipment...Gimme Subcools grow room for example n lemme run that shit...Ha...
I'm headin in that direction slowly but surely... Haven't ever dealt w HID lighting...If I had my way about it I suppose I'd have some big ass 1000watt CFL bulbs for real...I'm convinced they put out a bttr spectrum of light

most def, not as much potential as HID or LED but if you're ballin on a budget rock them out they'll work. They are only cost effective for smaller gardens (4 plants or less) anything more than that you should look into other options. Most people use them as side lighting to HID or LED set ups
I'm using 250 watt fluro underneath for the first time and 600w hPs , keen to see how the lower buds compare to the top , pics a couple weeks old

I'd have an all soil floor wall to wall 3 feet deep n 10foot ceilings n turn that bitch into a jungle...
i did t5 and led and t8 led tube grows and hps and mh . for the bulk its the hps and good led . best quality my opinion only. is the led , never used cfl bulbs not a good watt per dollar , if i were brand new low budget go with the hps get the yield and quality . nice thing about hps you can flood very large areas 1000 watts i flood 4/4 area would need so many cfl bulbs its not funny mabe 100 bulbs or more. if you can rock these cfl your a very good grower invest in the hps you will be growing like a god . really impressed with what you can do with the cfl.

Just asking who has grown with CFL lights and had a succesful yield
going to be grow three autoflower with 250w actuall watts of cfl
two 125w cfl dual spec bulbs
just wondering what grams i could be looking at

so who's had a good yield? and with what bulbs? and how many..
kind of like this? yea i just got done with x2 auto's with a 400watthps yield 30grams+ dried and this plant is bigger cause of the container i used so i will let u know how this one turns out... from my experience with cfl's they work just as good and will not let u down but hps will make bigger dense buds compare to fluffy airy buds u get with cfls...but i got x2 125watts bulbs to finish it off my single 250watt was old and burnt out and that works just fine this time around i got the x2 smaller watts to spread the light more but in my small ass tent it dose not matter but i forgotten all the cfl yields ive gotten but it was good learning exp.

I pulled almost a qp (3.9 oz to be exact) off of 2 autos under LED a couple years ago. I don't see why you couldn't pull at least an oz per plant with a dimed cfl setup. Just remember that with autos.. don't over feed, don't try to top or train, and keep you lights on as much as you can afford. I ran 20/4 the whole time.
