Who remembers having to clean their bag of 80's weed?

I was a kid..I can hardly remember what it looked like. By today's standards It would be 1 step below floor-sweep..

I remember it made me laugh and was fun to smoke..I don't ever remember seeing a bud, per say.. I remember buying 8ths, but I think it was a baggie loaded with stems, seeds, shake and tiny pieces of f bud. The pieces of bud were flat and dense which would lead me to believe it was likely mexican brick weed. I don't ever remember seeing frost or really any color variations/hairs..

It took time to clean up the bag. We used to clean on a magazine so we could dump the shake back into the bag and the seeds and stems into an ashtray..

Does anyone have pics of a bag of commercial 80's weed?

Less green and squashed flatter. The bricks we had access to in the mid to late 70's
were gold or chocolate brown. Packed tight, seeds and stems. I still taste that spicy
Colombian in my dreams. :joint:
Now that I think about it.. I'd like to do a strain hunter expedition and find real, unbastardized 80's weed genetics.. I imagine that the northern parts of mex have a lot of the hybridized genetics we have in the USA, but I'm sure that in small towns there must be abandoned fields of what I'd call "Dad weed"... That's more my speed..

I still have to "clean my weed". plenty of seeds. Nice African landrace.
I use a little plastic drawer thingy that used to be clear, as a dish for rolling out the seeds and stems.... it is pretty much hash colored by now.
There is money in those beans dude ,People want Landrace seeds,Simple fix though just pull the males they show there sex in plenty of time to ditch them

Most of the stuff I got was Mexican brick week. It was okay, and cheap. $40/ounce for a couple decades late 60s to early 90s. Then somewhere around 2000 or so, everything was seedless. Quality went through the roof, and so did the price.
And so did the high

Nah, I don't grow this shit. It is cheaper than what I can grow weed for on a consistent basis.
The Africans in the homelands just throw out hands of seeds and let it all grow then harvest the fields when it is done. They know it is pointless taking out the males as the guy on the hill probably wouldn't.

ime slate always came in 7s or 5s on the unit. soap always 9s...or the '9 bar' as it came to be known. Some of it could give you a sweaty top lip but generally it was infused with some shit.

edit...oh. and then there was 'mirror bar' which was more like traditional Moroccan. again in 5s or 7s. That was generally the cream of what was available.
