Russia is not a communist nation they are a bit like America honestly just slightly less freedoms.

I'm also not for Obamacare or free health care because it is communism. With a free market health care system the doctors and drug makers can't charge more than we can afford. I am against majority of the government regulations, taxes and fees.

If you think I'm a communist you must be dumb, deaf and blind. LMAO

I also want all drugs including heroin legal, prostitution and gambling legal as well. Do I really sound like a communist?
If you think Russia and America are run basically the same way, you should leave this section and immediately check yourself into a mental institution.

I didn't say the same. I just pointed out the fact we have a few more freedoms not many more but some big ones like the first and second amendments.

But they have come a long way from Stalin which I respect one day they might surpass America in freedoms not too soon though. We are allied with Saudi Arabia and Israel they are much worse than Russia I would love if Russia joined NATO they ain't bad people and they are the only nation we can never beat in a war.

I want peace you want war very liberal of you.

It's a bit unfair to throw Iran in there, they're progressing albeit slowly towards being a normal, stable, majority Shia nation.

If we want to discuss Islamic human rights abusers we should start with Saudi Arabia, given that they're an ally and all.

Actually, yes they do. They simply don't care.

They're the same people that post bogus memes on Facebook and when you point out to them it's completely false, bogus, made up, and full of shit, they say, "Yea...but I agree with the sentiment!"

"So you agree with complete bullshit, lies, made up, bogus things?" I say.

"YES!!!" they say.

They know they're stupid. They know everything they post is a lie...but it's how they FEEL so it's all good.

Fucking idiots.
My interpretation of the same behavior is that they seem to think "stupid" means "brilliant" or "understandably skeptical." Skepticism is a good thing, and is the basis of systematic thought. But their skepticism lies in the realm of the absurd and ridiculous...mostly baseless conspiracies.

All of this sentiment is fueled by Right wing radio and Fox News. I see lots of Trumpers. I've got "friendly" neighbors who like to talk politics, and I work at prisons where guards like to talk politics too, and they all repeat Fox crawls and faux discussions word for word. If they're saying some conspiracy I've never heard of, i google it and discover that Rush or Coulter recently said that. It's easy to see where they get their "info."

Examples of baseless conspiracies the Trumpers repeat:
1) now it's 7 million illegals voted in the Nov. general election (why just the gen election, I ask, few even attempt to answer it)
2) Hillary sold weapons to ISIS
3) Obama tried to destroy votes for Trump
4) college professors are leading a communist revolution

I think you get the idea.

I'm actually more Libertarian a lot like George Washington minus the slave trade of course and the whole women can't vote.

I don't have hatred for communists outside of America I believe they should all be allowed to move here, though the police state we live in is far from freedom. Thanks to Democrats and Republicans.
Washington was a federalist--believing in and acting on a strong, centralized federal government--and that's the exact opposite of Libertarian political ideology.

"The friends of our country have long seen and desired, that the power of making war, peace, and treaties, that of levying money and regulating commerce, and the correspondent executive and judicial authorities should be fully and effectually vested in the general government of the Union . . .

It is obviously impractical in the federal government of these states, to secure all rights of independent sovereignty to each, and yet provide for the interest and safety of all. . .

In all our deliberation on this subject we kept steadily in our view, that which appears to us the greatest interest of every true American, the consolidation of our Union . . .

These statement are from a letter signed by George Washington after being unanimously endorsed by the Constitutional Convention. Nowhere does it say: “our goal was to make the federal government as small as possible.”

For the average Trumper, "educated" is code for being communist. Again, Right wing media and radio are responsible for this.
Right, because educated people think for themselves, while indoctrinated people think the way they're told. The latter are much easier to control and exploit.

These are the foot soldiers of nationalism and fascism. These are the supporters of global hegemony and military adventurism, to 'make them' think like us, do what we want, etc.

When beliefs override facts, people get into very serious, even suicidal trouble.

An extreme example; early Viking settlers of Greenland would not eat seal meat like the native Eskimos, preferring to eat milk and meat from their cows. They starved while the Eskimos continued to thrive. The Vikings starved not because they didn't have access to food, but rather because they believed their way of life was superior.

Those who would follow their feelings and beliefs instead of facts can be more easily led and manipulated, often to their great cost. The Donner Party tragedy in 1850s America is another example; they believed in a man named Hastings, who told them about a shortcut through the Sierra Nevada mountains- even though he'd never been there. The expedition clung to that belief even when experienced mountain men and natives who knew the area told them not to do it.

As a result, they got stuck in the mountains during the winter. Half of them died and the other half lived only because they ate the bodies of the dead.

When feelings and beliefs are substituted for knowledge and experience, progress comes to a stop. This happened in Europe in the Middle Ages, when church doctrine ruled intellectual discourse and tradition was paramount over innovation. There's a reason historians call this era the 'Dark Ages', because no progress was made. Society stagnated.

It's easy and profitable to play on people's needs for security and comfort in the short run, but the long term effects are always bad.

I've been trying to find ways to point these truths out to those stuck in such a mindset, but all that has accomplished has been to cost me friends. I fear the divide is growing too the point where the two sides can't effectively communicate- which plays well into the hands of the manipulators, but doesn't work out for anyone else.
