Why am I seeing Amber Trich's already?

OK so I have a GHS Church plant that is on day 36 of flowering and I am already seeing amber trichomes.

Granted they are on the leaves but I still think that seems a bit early to be seeing any amber.

Has anyone had a plant that matured unusually early?

The one thing I will say is that this particular plant showed pistils VERY early while it was in vegetative state. And it seems like the pistils themselves have all turned dark overnight.

Anyone who has experienced this and could help me out would be greatly appreciated :)

How's the humidity? Very low humidity can cause the hairs to age prematurely, or at least look like it(they shrivel up and turn amber/brownish).

Also, plants don't mature identically. I have this one plant.... been under 12/12 for months and refuses to flower properly. I'm getting frustrated with it, female preflowers... that's it. It's very healthy though. So I'm giving it a chance.

it all ranges. it sounds as if your plant showed pistils very early it could be a quick grower. just watch it closely it could almost be done :joint::peace:

Thanks fellas!

I do have a dehumidifier in there and it is set at 40%, it runs constantly and I have to empty the resevoir everyday (about 2 gallons worth!). Normally my grow room is very humid and that's why I added the dehumidifier.

I just find it curious that Green House Seeds stated it to be a 9 week flowering strain but I am only a little past 5 weeks.

The buds don't look quite done so I guess I will need to watch it closely. In all honesty I would LOVE for it to be done early!

I also have 2 clones that I took from this plant that want to flower and I have to keep in my veg cab under 24 hour flouro lights. Every time the clones grow a new node, pistils pop up almost immedietaly.

Dehumidifiers are best used as exhausting air from the room, not blowing air into it(also, the reading on the dehumidifier will tell you the approximate grow room humidity, so you can control it precisely). I made the mistake of thinking my ventilation would compensate for the heat given by the dehumidifier, several of my plants got moderate heat stress.

I have to empty my gallon res about once a day.

Yeah, I actually have the dehumidifier outside of the grow room with ducting sucking the air out.

I don't have any problems with heat, usually stays around 80 with the lights on and 70 with them off.

^ thats exactly what i was thinking...maybe he was doing a test touch..to check the smell..i've seen that before when i did my first...sometimes it's hard not to do..question ..is the ambering here and there? or is it starting from bottom up ..or vice versa ? if it's here and there mho is that your touching the buds too much..peace
