The only time Ive seen curing turn buds brown is either from being in direct light, or they picked too late and has started degrading early in curing process. The more amber/brown your crystals are, the closer it is to fading off potency. Peak potency is right AS its turning amber.

When did you harvest yours? (Trich color)

Siccmade did they turn brown after you jarred them? It could be mold, if they were jarred too early, even if they seemed dry. Another problem could be not airing the buds every day, or more often if they weren't bagged between hanging and jarring. Smell the buds and break a few in two, looking for spiderweb like filaments. If you have a hand scope get a close look at the insides of a few buds.

If there are a few there they probably won't be a big problem other than the buds will taste rancid if you vaporize, smoking will hide the taste. If you're concerned about the mold bake at 105C for an hour and that should kill any spores and finish decarboxylizing the THC for you.
