reps for all answers, this is time sensitive, also should I be using half strength dose? or what foxfarm says
It's because during the 3rd and 4th week of flowering a lot of times the plants will display nitrogen defeciencies. If you follow their feeding schedule make sure to flush the reservoir after the 4th week. I have found this to be true for most Bloom Nutes. This is going to stir up a bit of controversy, but I add Veg nutes to my mix for two weeks during week 3 and 4 no matter who's nutrients I'm using. I believe Fox Farms says to use Big Bloom during that phase though right? It shoul be like a 1/2 and 1/2 kind of thing. You dont' want to deprive your plants of the much needed bloom nutes either, it's just a nitrogen "kicker" if you will to help them finish up green and healthy.

This is when the plants are finishing their stretch and they will need these nutes to finish developing leaves and you won't have given them much nitrogen during the first couple of weeks.

If you don't do it, some strains will be okay, others will turn yellow and then by the time it gets outta hand it's like week 5 or 6 and you really don't want to be adding nitrogen.

So, I say, just do it. Follow the directions and you'll like the results.

yeah it says to use grow big which has nitrogen, so should I use half dose big bloom, half dose grow big, half doze tiger bloom and half doze superthrive, think that should be good?

ya it says to do the flush after 2 weeks in flowering

thanks reps for more answere also

weeks 3 and 4 are where the plant grows like crazy.
flowering nutes dont have plant growth nutes, just flower growth nutes.
i guess they dont want to deplete the plant too much.
i believe in adding cal/mag around then cause i always see cal and mag defeciencies at that time.
as laserbrn says, a bit of veg goodness helps then too

The pics aren't super clear. I would suggest cutting back your nutes. Your plants look like they might be a little over ferted there. Can you take some pics with the light off?

It just looks like you are getting the "clawing" effect on your leaf tips. What kind of light are you using?

What is the temp at the top?

Any chance you know the humidity?

Oh, I left this thread and immediately the next thread I saw was this one...

So to answer your question, THAT's why it says to use Grow Big during week 3 and 4.

ya those pictures suck, ill get some better ones a week from now

i am getting the claw effect pretty bad, im using all cfl's, about about 260 watts worth

the temp goes anywhere from 70-90 depending on lights on or off

not sure humidity, guessing around 45, i have a humidifier near it I added last week and it seems to help

thanks

What are you using for airflow? If you're in flowering you don't want more humidity anymore, you want less. Less than 40 is ideal, beyond that you risk bud rot and that SUCKS. Worst feeling in the world. Buddy of mine just lost 12 plants, probably 1 1/2 lbs dry of bud to bud rot because he didn't pay enough attention to humidity when growing outdoors in a shed.

Be careful.

That clawing is usually from over fertilizing, just back them off a wee bit. They aren't so overdone they are burning which is good, but you're on the upper levels of what your plant will take.

ya i have a growbox tent, a 40 cc exhaust, and 40 cc inline, a fan inside, the tent is closed when the lights are off and its usually opened when lights are on and closet door is also open

i thought the humidifier would help airflow, ill get rid of it and just get a extra fan

thanks
