I know i switched to what REAL farms use

It aint advanced,gh,botanicar, ect

No mo hydro store for me lol

Also not pushing mirical grow ha ha

High quality food crop grade nutes :)

I still use pure Blend Pro. The nutes just need to jive with your water and medium and be complete. I can get the same results with 4 different brands I tried. I like liquid for convenience and Mrs. MMG doesn’t mind mixing it.

Some where in ther although after i have a concentrate run my tolerance goess uuuuuuup

When i hit a zip a week im like fuck no more dabs and blunts ha ha

I feel average now at about a zip every 2 weeks but here at harvest i know ill shave a few days off i always do
I love doing dabs! I've got an enail dab rig. I had access to a lot of BHO and I was dabbing multiple times a day. Unfortunately, that well has since dried up, and buying it is too much right now. I sure do miss it! I was looking at BHO rigs, but it all looks like so much work. I made some years ago, but that was only once. I know someone who'll make some for half the stash, but I've got to grow some more weed before I have that kind of green LOL!

Damn ill make it for half the stash too !

I dont like butane just cause lets say i have a respect for flammable gasses lol.

Anyways i used grain alcohol my last few runs turned out ok.

Definitely want to get i to more concentrates
I got bubble bags but i hate doing that shit with water .

I have used the bags to make dry ice once but that was messy lol needs a little better planing but i liked ituch better then wet seperation.

Might give the rosin press a try as i need a t shirt press anyways for other projects

But ill probably try alcohol a few more times

Should think about using methanol instead. I can get 99.9% methyl hydrate for $8/gal where EverClear is over $175 for the same amount and only 95%. With EverClear I have to set up my still to reclaim it but don't mind just evaping off the methanol out in the carport in a pie plate on a pot of simmering water. Recently did a batch of oil for a friend's wife with the methanol after a 2 week soak as he wants all the plant material in her medicine. Works fine all froze up for a QWISO extraction too and produces nice golden oil.

Still like my occasional BHO batches tho. :)

I'm done trying to grasp why anyone would smoke it. To the people who grow it... WHY?

I see so many people bitching about the drop in price, yet plenty of people still pull 3-4k for natural bud. Is it really that much more yield? Is it really that much quicker, is it really that much easier to grow a bunch of $500 pounds?

Can you tell I'm in between grows? Nothing, literally NOTHING smokable at any fucking dispensary. Why would you even waste your time growing shit that A) Doesn't smell like weed, B) doesn't taste like weed, C) Doesn't feel like weed and D) doesn't provide medicinal value, like natural weed does?
why are you so intent to save us from ourselves?

Does using methylated spirits leave behind any toxic residue or byproduct?

I would think at 99.9% pure the other 0.1% is likely just water. I filled a clean 500ml beaker with it covered in 4layers of cheasecloth to keep out dust and there was no visible residue once it all evaporated. I don't know for sure tho but you sure can't taste anything in the oils made with it and it evaps off better than ISO which isn't likely any cleaner than the methyl hydrate. Methanol is CH4 where booze/ethanol is C2H6.

Me and ethanol have a dark history and I'm not tempted to drink methanol so that's another good reason to use it other than the price. :D

Yeah, don’t drink Methanol. That shit’ll kill you. Ethanol is actually the antidote for methanol poisoning, because the one binds to the other and you piss it out.

“Methanol is the simplest alcohol, being only a methyl group linked to a hydroxylgroup. It is a light, volatile, colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive odor very similar to that of ethanol (drinking alcohol).[11] However, unlike ethanol, methanol is highly toxic and unfit for consumption. At room temperature, it is a polar liquid. It is used as an antifreeze, solvent, fuel, and as a denaturant for ethanol. It is also used for producing biodiesel by transesterification reaction.

...

Methanol when drunk is metabolizedfirst to formaldehyde and then to formic acid or formate salts.[13] These are poisonous to the central nervous system and may result in blindness, coma, and death. Because of these toxic properties, methanol is frequently used as a denaturant additive for ethanol manufactured for industrial uses. This addition of methanol exempts industrial ethanol (commonly known as "denatured alcohol" or "methylated spirit") from liquor excise taxation in the US and some other countries.”

Bootleggers often add methanol aka wood alcohol aka methyl hydrate to wine or moonshine to stretch their product or boost the alcohol content. Sometimes desperate alcoholics will drink it alone and that's where you get dead boozers. Lysol was a favorite of the winos back in Calgary years ago. Would find punctured cans of it in the alley behind my place in the late 70s. It's about 90% ethanol but the rest is other crap that kills those guys off quick once they are drinking it regular. I've never been that hard-up for a drink. :D

We just distill moonshine from apples, on my Dad’s side of the family. Moonshining’s an Appalachian tradition. I just prefer to bootleg Cannabis. Alcohol and I have a rough history. The rest of my family’s a bunch of hard drinkers. It’s just me, my stepbrother, and my youngest brother that smoke.

I made a little still that holds a gallon of mash and have made my my own booze using a simple sugar mix. Once the 6gal carboy is done fermenting I put it in 1gal milk jugs to freeze then invert and let the alcohol drain out. Not bad for drinking as is once you get past the first belt or too when taste doesn't matter anymore. Must be around 30% alcohol after the freeze at and doesn't give much of a hangover. Much less volume to distill if I want to make it stronger.

HomeDistiller.org has lots of good info.
