I dont think cool water is a bad thing for your plants as long as your air temp is around 75 to 80 degrees farenheit. As far as lighting goes, I would probably reccomend 24/7 lighting for the first two weeks for new sprouts, then you can go 18/6 for the vegetative phase (roughly another 2 weeks), Then you switch to 12/12 for flowering (up to 3 weeks). Just my 2 cents.

water temps shouldn't really fall below 16c. no nutes for first couple of weeks and then just start small doses. probably 1/4 of what it says on the instructions and build up every week when you change rez.

Your temp on water should be 60f to 68f. Other may be correct but I can't convert "C" while I'm smoking, sorry man! Fish tank heater that is adjustable is the best thing to use and set it low. I had my water temp drop to 56f at night and had no issues. The room was 75 under the lights. You figure the earth does drop at night. Dirt does get cold. This summer I will test this till fall. I want to record the ground temp at 3 feet for every night. Then I know where water temp should be to grow the best.

Check the temperature with a thermometer. You'll probably be surprised to see that is somewhere between 62F and 65F. It probable feels real cold on your hand. Think about pool water and how anxious you are to jump into 74 degree water.

Check it; you're probably ok. My res is always around 62F and do well.
