Why Romney & Republicans In General Lost The Election

My quick summary of why votes went the way they did.


Think of our government as a giant company & the citizens are the workers. The company is going bankrupt and everyone knows this. The republican platform is concerned with saving the company through financially conservative measures. They want our grand children to have a greater chance for a greater america. Their methods would be correct and would most likely increases the health of the company. However, this would induce a hardship for the workers in the mean time. The workers are already struggling to much now to be concerned about their grandchildren's future. They are still concerned with supporting their current children and them-self for that matter. The republican platform focuses on the debt of the country and is important when viewing form a business ideology. But in reality the government is not a company and the citizens are not employees. This means that the health of the government is not the main focus. If increasing the debt for the meantime will help the citizens who are struggling then that will be the favored method.

Main points
- Republican platform is concerned about the government going bankrupt.
- people are concerned they will go bankrupt.

Who cares if the government gets healthy if it means the people will go bankrupt, the very thing a healthy government is supposed to prevent.

Republican Platform = Enron.

I don't fully agree with that.

You say the republican platform wants to save the government.
But they never showed any details as to how that should happen.
What they did show was that they would form a trickle-down policy. Which has been proven by many non partisans to not work.
They also wanted to give tax breaks to the wealthiest, increasing the debt by far more than what Obama wants to do.
I don't see how any of their plans would have brought down the debt or helped the government.

The fact of the matter is that they never showed their workings, and they are now paying for that failure.

I personally feel the biggest reason they lost was because they couldnt STOP TELLING LIES.
It made no sense at all to me. I said it mid-way through the campaign, the two Reps lied for no reasons whatsoever.
How can you trust someone who cant stop lying? You cant.
