Why use auto's?

I have never grown autos because of the stories of low yields and lack of potency. Don't they have the ruderlis gene? Granted a outdoor grow that flowers in June does sound kinda cool but you can do that with a darkening system. My question is this. Why not just start flowering a potent feminized indica or hybrid variety at 7-10 days old. They stay small, manageable and potent. I have done it many times. PEACE

It's easy of use and and least time required to maintain the plant. For instance I work from early in the morning till late in the evening so I sometimes miss my light schedule ", so autos would be less stressful for me to grow, although I bought a timer yesterday so that helps haha

no separate flower rooms, timers, more cycles outdoors, very useful if you have short grow season or the end of the season is conducive to mold. some have over 20% THC, the pack all the flavor of photos, yes some tend to stay small but if you flower a photo at 10 days you will probably yield less then an auto.

biggest downside is you wont grow a 3 lb plant, no cloning.

if youre asking you must be curious so try one or two out. you just may like them.

also your name implies guerilla growing, well imagine going out to your favorite spot and harvesting before everyone else and before rippers/hunters/leo spot them.
Totally off topic... But where does leo? come from. I'm pretty sure it's police? Just wondering where the term comes from. Thanks.

Aside from everything else listed one of the perks is not having to have a lightproof growspace for flowering. So you can generally get started up with little costs and not much of a hassle.
If you wanna bang out a good yield in 90 days with autos.
1 buy a 600 watt HPS
2 Plop 4-6 autos in 3 gallon pots (depending on their finishing sizes)
3 LST those badboys throughout their entire veg cycle and 2 or so weeks into flowering. Every day counts in veg as does every potential node/budsite.
Then just keep em watered and fed until chop time.
If you're adding CO2 into the mix you can get some impressive little plants out of them.

But on my whole growspace comment.....
You can slap em in a spare bedroom, bathroom, closet or whatever.
There's several advantages. If you have to up and hide your plants for some BS reason? You don't have to worry about jacking up their light schedules.
You can get some bumper crops in to get some extra scratch to invest in a proper grow area if you're broke.

As far as guerrilla growing they're OK. Personally I have to start them either 4-6 weeks early. If I have plants in late flowering during June/July that mean they're sitting in 100 - 105 degree heat with 80% humidity all day. Budrot city on top of heat stress. April and May they're good to go though. They can finish in may with little to no problems.

I run autos mainly because my tent is not 100% light proof. Having 12hrs dark where the tent is a inconvenience. But 6hrs dark is simple to set for when I’m sleeping.

I run autos outside because where I am, by the time we have enough natural darkness to trigger flowering on a photo period plant. It’s snowing. Lol.

Love my autos.

I am running my first autoflower now - auto gigabud - it was a freebie, I am running it along with photo period plants at 12/12 from seed. This is what it looks like after about 67 days from seed. I will probably harvest this in 2 weeks or less. It smells great, and looks to be potent. It also vegged longer and got a lot bigger than I thought it would, but once it started flowering it really took off quickly. I had to LST it to keep it short enough for my space and it responded very well
