will my seeds grow

hi everybody
i am on my first grow i germinated my seeds until about 1-2 cm of tap root was showing i then proceeded to plant them they have now been in the dirt for roughly 24 hours and haven't pushed through the soil yet i am worried i may have done something wrong my other concern is about 24 hours before i planted them i saturated my soil as i had read that on many grow guides but my soil seems very compact form the water is this right i am worried the seeds will not be able to push through the soil

i am using biobizz light mix

You should be fine mate just dont water anymore and let them do there thing some times they take a couple of days

you don't need any light on them till they show them selfs but if you find your soil is very wet you might find the light might help dry it out a little how deep do you put the seed... ?

ok pal i would say maybe half an inch or just over thats what i had read was about right online maybe im just being paranoid with no experience of growing any plant before
