Will this design block light? (PIX)

I want to build a cardboard venting contraption for my intake toblock the light. The shaded in area represents the wooden strips shown in the first picture. Once the strips are nailed to the wall, a piece of cardboard will be attached to the wooden strips to create the over and the 3 slits are the slits in the cardboard. I know theres supposed to be two 90 degree angles to block light leakage, but does this qualify?

Yea it would work,buti would advice any grower to use plaster board rather than wood or any other material.plasterbord is foil backed if you wanna go that way then you would need no milar/white plastic reflective material.the advantages to useing plasterboared over any other material is it is fire resistent,so this give's you the edge if the worst does come to the worst put a fire alarm just on the outside of your growroom this will give you time to get to the fire b4 police fire marshals ambulance do i need to continue also buy a fire exstingwisher there only cheep you want one for electrical fires .be prepared for the worst.i think carboard is a accident waiting to happen.hope this helps bro.Don't get me wrong after looking at your first pic it looks has though this could be a great growroom make a little money on your first batch then that sucker in plasterboared

Okay, but can I get plaster board from Home Depot? I was actually about to leave out and get some in a few minutes. lol
