Winter is coming

Went into the grow room this morning and the air coming through my lights was so cold that the ductwork was dripping with condensation. 73% humidity is bad news for a flower room:shock:

I already have a box of insulated ductwork just for the intake line but instead I think I'm going to take all the ductwork off and just run hoods with an exhaust fan hooked to a cycle timer.

Anybody else feeling the effects of the cold yet?

If you use the insulated ductwork it will just move the condensation location to the reflectors.

If you have a somewhat constant intake temp, your exhaust fan should work nicely.

I already got it figured out, I'm just going to remove my portable a/c and put a portable heater/AC there instead lol. Been meaning to do this for quite some time. I have it dialed in perfectly for the summer time but I hate the constant switching over every time it gets cold or wet. Got the dehumidifier out of the garage today too :hump:

Im more like winter! Finally. But i get to shut off my ac for the next 8 months. I feel for ya tho.
Yeah, the thing I hate about winter is that my DTE bill goes sky high though. Usually around 300 in the summer and 600 in the winter. That's just this last year too since I scaled my grow way down.

Used to be around $1000 a month at my old place when I used central air in the summer. Then I would use cold outside air in the winter and the bill would cut in half.
