worlds highest THC auto?

anyone know what the highest lab confirmed THC content is in an auto.. also where do i get seeds for it..

I live way up north where auto flowers exist in nature... photo strains will not work for outdoor grows here :(

I don't know about the WORLD record, but Mephisto Genetics sells some seriously potent AF varieties. Most of their strains that have been tested run in the 19-low 20s, so nothing to sneeze at. You can get them at Seedsman or direct from their website. They bill themselves as a autoflower connoisseur breeder, and the strains I've seen back that claim up.

Why do you say that? I understand the growing them indoors part and I wouldn't do it again, only did this time because I literally had 100 days from the time i was ordering the seeds until i move out of my current living situation. Why though is it a waste to test them? If anything I think we would want to know when and if autoflower genetics live up to the potency of their non-autoflower cousins.

Well to test an auto is a waste of time because you can't clone it. You have to hope that the next seed is not completely different then the one you just popped. So you could test one seed at 24% THC, and the next seed is 15% so the test on the first seed was wasted money, all it did was tell you that you had some 24% buds until you smoked them all, I mean if you want to test feel free, being happy you got some good smoke and not worrying about the #'s is cheaper :)

Testing is generally used to see what's best in the garden out of however many plants and then to keep that clone and run it many times. Testing autos is for nothing more then bragging rights.

As it stands right now there is no point to put any faith into THC% listed by ANY breeder of photo's or Auto's, I don't care who the breeder is, and there's plenty I respect. The stability in the seeds just isn't there. If they put an AVG.THC% Over 100 plants then maybe we could actually have an idea of what we're getting.

I disagree. It still gives you a ballpark of what the strain is capable of. No, it's probably not worthwhile to test your OWN autos, but knowing what well grown autos of a certain strain have tested at is far from useless, especially in the more stabilized autos. Yeah, you can't gurentee that a 20% tested auto will grow 20% for you, but at least you know it CAN test as high as 20%, and not some ditchweed 6% like a lot of ruderalis.

testing autos is even a bigger waste of money then growing them indoors.
This seems like a silly statement on both counts. Autos are excellent for indoor growing because they can be kept small for stealth grows, and can benefit from 24/0 lighting or close to it (which, unless you're running a greenhouse in the Arctic Circle during the dead of summer, you're not going to get outside). Also, most decent AF breeders are striving for consistent product, same as photos. It doesn't do any good for business to grow a strain that can't be counted on to reliably produce similar or near-identical results.

Obviously, there's a chance a given plant from a strain won't produce the EXACT percentage listed on a breeder's site, but testing done on the strain once it's been bred to an acceptable consistency, as Ace Yonder pointed out, gives you an idea of what to expect in terms of potency. This of course assumes the breeder is being honest and diligent in their breeding and testing. That's where the breeder's rep and reviews come in handy; word gets out in the weed world when someone is shady or dishonest.

I agree testing your own is kind of pointless though (unless you want bragging rights or are in some kind of competition); you're better off just searching for reviews of the strain and picking one that sounds like a match, then smoking that extra bud instead of mailing it off to a lab.

I was always curious to ask that question, interesting:bigjoint: thread.

Photoperiod 12/12 from seed of quality genetics. I'm paying half as much to grow, and it's less wear/tear on my equipment and it's a small plant that fits in my space nicely. There's no reason to grow anything with ruderalis in it unless you don't have adequate light for photo's outdoors plain and simple. And it's stealthier as I don't have lights on 24/7

This will be cloned after a reveg. and ran again, It's Fireballs By Breeders Boutique, I'll put more pics in (https://www.rollitup.org/t/breeders-boutique.591037/page-95) on Monday(ish) that shows how covered in frost she is after 4-5 weeks.

A plants yield is genetics mostly.

This is completely untrained it's about 16-18 inches almost all bud.

Honestly, be surprised if it's under 1.5-2 *I could be wrong I don't generally weigh my plants as it's just me smoking them so weight doesn't matter how strong they are has more of an effect of how long it lasts over weight, she's getting crazy thick and hasn't even started to final swell yet. I'll grab an upskirt on my next picture taking adventure, she's bud all the way down, even the lower stuff is fattening up fast. Thinking 4 weeks left on her probably. Not sure exactly how long she's been flowering.

Starting to think I should have topped her, it's very dry here right now, but mold is still a concern. Im really hoping she changes colours like the others I've seen in the BB thread.

She's got two of those little double bud dealies going on. Can't wait to see how she runs from clone.

EDIT: After a look this morning she probably already has an ounce on her and not a single orange hair. I'll grab some shots with something for a size comparison on the next pic run.

I'm not saying photos don't have their advantages, but there's still benefits to Autos indoors, especially for newbies. The plant it and go approach means that newbies have less to screw up in terms of transplanting, topping and FIMing, lighting, and more.

My growbox indoors is lightproof (as any decent growbox/room should be), so lights on 24/7 has no impact on my stealth. Obviously that much light would be an issue if I used HID or the like, but I use LEDs, so my consumption is VERY low (yes, it would be lower on 12/12, but with LEDs we're talking pennies not dollars).

I also don't need different setups for veg and flowering; I can keep a constant rotation of plants in the same box, because they don't need different life cycles (which for someone with limits on space and stealth, is VITAL to keeping me in weed between harvests). When one plant is maturing, another is sprouting right beside it. In states with limits on number of plants and the like, this makes it easy to keep a constant stream of weed coming without violating plant numbers in a compact space (something that's trickier to do with photos because of the need for different light schedules). Not saying it CAN'T be done, but that it's easier for some to just have one small box that runs the same amount of light.

Yields may be based on genetics, but there's a strong belief (not based on science, yet anyway, but firsthand grower observations) that the Ruderalis genes allow for shallower roots and smaller taproots that are better about branching sideways and growing in shallower/smaller pots. Roots are where the yield is really made: regardless of plant genes or whether it's auto/photo, healthy and strong roots lead to better harvests every time. Maybe it's just skilled growing, but AFs seem to do very well in smaller (1 gal or so) pots, especially with tiered planting.

Again, I'm not bashing photo growing by any means; if I had the space to have a bigger cabinet I'd DEFINITELY grow some (mainly so I could have a flowering and veg chamber, not because photos can't be controlled size wise). I'm just saying that the argument that "Autos are for outdoors only" ignores a wide amount of scenarios and advantages that run contrary to that statement. Nor am I saying they have no place outdoors; although I'd argue that if you don't have enough light for photos outdoors, you might not have enough light to make the most of an auto (since it seems the more light they get the better the yield), and should consider indoor planting anyway.

EDIT: Sexy plant though, BTW. Shows you're not talking out of your ass when you can get a girl like that going :)

Here she is this morning with my big mitt in there for a bit of a size comparison. 2 Gallon pot.

My light schedule won't be changing from now till July when I will probably shut down for 2 months, I got some seeds to burn through until then and this is the fastest way to grow the most plants in my space. Seeds will be started under 12/12 light and start to flower about 3-4 weeks. They start in Solos right next to this girl at 2 weeks get a transplant to a 2 gallon and that's it. This one was transplanted about a week into flower. I think I could have got more height out of her if I did it right :)

Water only Organic soil, that's probably a little N-hot for this run.

When I find a plant I like, like this one, I will throw it in my little 2x2x2 to reveg after I harvest the buds and take clones after 4 weeks or so, run those clones straight into 12/12 at 6-8 inches or so.

I'm in a super small space too, in a closet that's 2Dx4Lx4H. 400watt HPS With LOTS of ventilation :) I keep it 23C above the light with lights on. I need to switch to LED but am waiting for a couple more years I think. Waiting for better and cheaper.

Thanks for the compliment.

I might make a thread to document my journey I'm not very good at staying on top of them though.
