Maybe something like "Marijuana Indoors : Five Easy Gardens" By Jorge Cervantes. Jorge has many books around as well as some DVD/videos.
is one you can check out over on Youtube. Thats the link to part 1 of three.
I'm sure there are bunches of books around people can recommend, I just pointed out Jorge because I stumbled across his videos when I got started in DWC (deep water culture) hydro and they seemed really straight forward and geared toward someone who is completely new.
That should get you started. Of course there is a mountain of information all over these threads. You could start peeking through some grow journals to get an idea of what to expect. Good luck!
