Would just 1 cannabis plant smell too much from the rooftop ?

I want to grow 1 cannabis plant on my rooftop, it wont be visible to anyone but how much would it smell? Bad enought that it annoys neighbours?

Neighbour's rooftop is joined with my house, and ventilation on the roof is 10/10

For them to smell it strongly, the smell would have to travel 10-12 meters then downwards from their windows

Is there any effective way to hide the smell outdoors?

any euro 'northern lights' is defined as a low smelling plant

camouflage is a better option

build an obvious roof top garden and patio arrangement

deck it out/dress it up

use small containers 10L use autoflowers

so you can move and dissipate the smell later

good luck

you would wanna know your strain so it helps you decide if it is stealthy enough I guess to start with....could always grow some lemon strain varities or northern lights to help with smell
after all growing something that smells like fuel or roadkill is gonna raise alarm bells and how do you know you havnt got those smelling strains in your 20 pack?
can just see your neighbours checking the roof out for a dead rat

I brought a pack that has 20 mix seeds, it could be any strain.
I doubt your neighbors will be able to smell that one plant. kind of depends on the distance they are from your plant/house. Of course all strains smell differently, but I have grown a decent variety of strains outdoors and they all fall within a certain distance ( minus some very potent strains ) Up close the plants will smell pretty skunky, but that smell dissipates with distance. After 9-10 feet that smell is a lot harder to pick up unless their is a breeze going. Walking around my property ( no more than 20-30 ft away ) I can get a whiff of the plants here and there if their is a really strong wind, but then again I am very acute to the smell ( and were talking more than one plant ). So I don't think your neighbors will really pick it up or even really realize what it is if they get a quick whiff. Now when the weather is colder that smell becomes a lot more apparent and the smell radius around the plant increases and is easier to pick up in the wind ( just something to keep in mind ). All in all man I don't see you having any problems with smell. And worst case scenario ( the problems with smell will come later in Flower rather than sooner ) and you can at least harvest it early ( If it really becomes a problem ) and get something rather than nothing. Good luck with everything.

One thing to consider is a strain that doesn't have an overpowering smell. I had an OG Kush from Dinafem this year and the smell is very earthy and not overwhelming. Really good smoke as well.
Wow that's crazy .....I grow lots of OG kush and it's usually rite up there with my GDP as far as just a super hot coffee skunk smell ....the OGK that I grow .which is a lot is all the way up at the top of the stank chart .....interesting yours wasn't

Anyway my opinion for OP is ....how big of a plant are you trying to grow??....that will make a huge difference on a hot day with little wind ....if it's several pounds of super dank ready for chop .....then when you do chop/trim get ready for some odor ....but once again depends on strain ..

Mine didn't give off much smell unless you were sticking your nose right in the buds. You catch whiffs of it but not at all overpowering. Just a mild earthy scent.

I had a little Train Wreck auto in My back yard last year that I had to move inside when it started to flower. it was about 2 feet tall.I loved the smell. My wife did not and you could smell it on the street 100 feet away!
