So is it normal to be yellowing of leaves during flowering and eventually fall of. Afghan indica with nice buds.Main cola is all green except old fan leaves intermingled in cola turn pale to yellow and then I removed. Also lower leaves are going also but other then that plant seems fine leaves are cool and feel fine.I did overfertilize early in the grow but have things ironed out now I think.Showgirl:weed:

I had the same problem and i still dont know if its totally normal. I know that leaves will yellow towards the end of flowering because of the lack of Nitrogen but mine seemed to be yellowing too much too soon. I tried flushing and it didnt help much, now i'm close enough to harvest that i'm just going to water with pure H2O to flush for this last week and hope for the best. But at this point i have lost so many leaves that there are barely any fan leaves remaining.

From what I read int he harvest thread it is normal because in the final stage of flowering your flushing your nutes out with water/flushing agent mine are doing ythe same I started flushing them 5days ago.. There were started to yellow a bit before I flushed as well though but much more now.. From what I read somewhere on here. Depriving it of the nutrient in the end bulks up the bud and make them more potent??? I could be wrong though I mean I was probably high and whoever posted it probably was=)

Think of the natural life cycle of these plants...

When they're flowering its for reproduction before death, so logically a plant might begin to show signs of aging (yellowing) during this process. Its beginning to lose its need for those leaves, so they turn yellow and fall off as the plant ends its "cycle", whether that be completed darkness or a little nap before starting again.

it does happen where the fan leaves turn yellow in the late stages of flowering. Its not really recommeneded to remove them, but i personally dont think its all that detremental to the plant.

as far as flushing goes, its a good idea about a week or so before you are going to harvest, to do a total flush and just use pHed water for the remainder. This will eliminate any potential tastes from the fertilzers.

Im pretty sure the point of leaching it of nutes is to make sure your buds dont come out tasting like what your feeding them
