Ok so im relatively new to growing and i have a plant thats currently vegging in soil. recently many of the leaves have been curling down(the claw). I read that this could be because of over nuting so i flushed my plant for 2 days with no change except some of the new growth is yellowing. also i dont have perlite or sand in my mix so could this problem be from lack of oxygen in the roots????if so how could i fix this???any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sounds like over watering. I would suggest letting the soil dry out before watering again. Also, put an air stone in the bucket of water a day or two before you water the plant, this will help get some O2 in the water. If you can't throw in an air stone then put a little peroxide in the water and it should do the trick. In the future, use some vermiculite and sand in the soil mix.

he meant PERLITE not vermiculite. Similar name, big difference as vermiculite doesn't aerate soil as well and retains more water than your average soil.

HAHA I'm a tard. Grizz you are correct perlite is much better than vermiculite, don't ask why I put that, as I said I'm a tard. And all that shaking is going to do is make u very sore. Just go get some peroxide and put some in before you water, its cheap and easy, and will provide plenty of O2 to the roots.

I used 3 tbsp/gal of the 3% peroxide you can find at a drug store. That worked for me when I grew soil. If anyone else has comments on this please chime in because this is only my experience.

when the sides of the leaf curl in half and the leaf bends downward in a claw it is a direct result of over doing nutes. Let em dry out pretty good , then use straight ph'd water for the next couple feedings after dried. Do not follow the directions on any of those food containers, 5ml food per liter of water is tooooo muchy.

I use like 5ml per gallon of water. I've had similar problems in the past with that. For 120 litres of water i use 5 scoops(Table spoons) or (21 ml scoop) absolute maximum. Remember that ph is adversley affected by TDS. Total dissolved solids are high then ph will be low...and vice versa

In veg state use a 30-10-10 food ok, in flower use 15-52-15. Every second feeding should be straight ph'd water too. okely dokely, and burn a torch a coupla times a day in there(of course when lights are on), plumbers torch with coleman camping propane cylinders. 4x8 room for two minutes, 3 times a night three hours apart.
