Yellowing leaves

My leaves are yellowing, please help! They are in the 5th week of flower grown in a mix of FFOF and Happy Frog in 5 gal. buckets. I used FF open sesame for the first 3 weeks of flower and then FF Beastie Bloomz for the past two weeks. I've been watering them about every three days and feeding every other watering. Maybe nutrient lockout?

do you know how long or how much longer you plan to flower them?

what are the 3 numbers or % amounts for N-P-K on each bottle and how many mls per gallon do you mix
does the bottle label provide the % amounts for calcium and magnesium?
pictures of the labels that show the % info would be best if you can do that

can you absolutely rule out over water?
whats the humidity? and how much light or what size light?

if I had to guess and without the answers to the above questions, id guess your over fertilized and N def at the same time
im thinking/guessing beastie blooms is a bloom booster with mostly P&K ??? and not much N ???

but your so late into flower and you've got good bud growth so you don't want to go dumping a bunch of N in it

but can only guess for now until we chat and go thru the process of elimination

You don't need to use additional nutrient with FF soil and happy frog. By using open sesame and beastie, you've poisoned them with excess phosphorus.

I wish that was my experience, a no fert soil to the end with a full expression on time finish...never happened, not homemade, not bagged. I had to use a bubbled tea watering in my ff/hf mixes. they made it swell to around week 2 of flower.

I'm, trying a water only run now, 1 week into flowering ffof and my home made soil side by side, going to start a journal soon. I have pics of one time I did it. What does full expression on time finish mean?

full expression-subjectively, but leaving the user with no wanting I think might fit this one. tight buds, good flavor, doesnt take months of ferment to taste decent, strong odors, complex terpene profiles.
On time= within the breeder specs, milky when they're supposed to be, finished without issue.

Crystal may not have been as good as it's sisters. It was a few years ago, plant was off to the side about 4 feet from the lights. If it had full light it probably would have shown problems with a water only run. Lower leaves remained green. Water used was 80% ro 20% tap creating 175ppm water.

No, I'm not the only one as people always come here saying they are using ocean forest and/or happy frog with added ferts, then pose the question "Why are my plants discolored and dying?"
FF makes Light Warrior soil to be used for small plants and seedlings. Ocean Forest is for the time when plants are larger. When you think plants need more nutrients, you transplant into a pot much larger with fresh soil. Just because Foxfarm makes a variety of fertilizers doesn't mean you always need to use it. Happy Frog in particular has developed a reputation for being a long-lasting soil. I've seen customers in hydro shops buy only that and swear by it, saying they don't really need much else. The problem is that if you're growing a lot of plants (or grow them pretty long and tall), you need a lot of soil. This is expensive, but the good news is doing so takes out a lot of the guess-work that people are always using.
Even on the Foxfarm website, the text says everything your plants need in one bag. I don't know why they make so many other fertilizers but I suspect it's to get money from people who don't know better. I'm seeing a lot of posts here where people are giving too much phosphorus. The biggest complaint years ago was pH. People would say their pH was off even though they hadn't tested. At least people have got off the pH bandwagon as I don't see that much anymore. However, there are many fertilizers in containers these days when compared to 15 years ago and no one has ever said these are necessary. Companies make a lot of money off of consumers that don't know better and buy products that aren't really necessary. The graphics on the containers work to get your attention... and your money.

Thanks for the reply! I was planning on flowering for 4 more weeks or so. Im pretty sure I'm not over watering them, I have a meter that tells me how dry the soil is. The humidity in the room hangs around the 50% mark. They are under a 1000w air cooled hood, the temp in the room stays around 75 degrees. I use a tsp per gallon when I feed. Thanks again for your help!

ya man

ya see your fertilizers the middle number is the phosphorus

your fertilizers are almost all P and K but mostly P

the first number is the N which is obiously very very very low compared to P at 50% on one bottle and 45% on the other

I would recommend you switch to the GH flora grow and flora nova asap
give it a good strong flush on the next water
and feed only water for the next week

then switch to flora nova at 7mls per gallon until its done

Moose, I apologize. I didn't look at your post and just responded to another comment and posted pictures, in other words a highjack of your thread, my bad. I see your buckets look like the home depot type. Do they have drain holes in them?

No worries, man! Yeah they're the Home Depot buckets. I drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom of them so it drains fine.

Flora nova bloom or grow? I'm pretty new to this whole thing, sorry if it feels like you have to spoon feed it to me.

use the grow for veg and the bloom for flower

full dose is between 6mls to 8mls(max) for established plants

its a complete well balanced well rounded fertilizer and you might not need anything else

keep a little calmag and some Epsom salt around IF you end up needing it BUT DONT ADD IT UNLESS YOU NEED IT

cuz you likely wont need it

one more thing

if you get the flora nova... don't go and add you beastie or whatevers with it, theres already plenty of P in the floranova and theres absolutely no reason to go adding more itll only mess things up

let me paint a picture or give example;

none of which is meant to be used specifically its more of a rough idea;
water only no fertilizer unless specified
take a red solo cup and fill the bottom half with happy frog soil and the top with light warrior seed starter soil or what I do is start my seeds in starter plugs and put them directly into happy frog (not using the lite warrior)
when it has a solid root ball

pot up---- then I take a 6" pot and fill it 50/50 mix with foxfarm ocean forest and fox farm happy and put your sprout in that
when the 6" pot has a solid root ball (about 2 weeks)
feed maybe1x with 4mls per gallon flora grow just before you pot-up

pot up to a 5 gallon pot of fox farm ocean forest water only about 3 weeks
feed maybe 1x 6mls flora grow 2mls cal mag 1/4 tsp Epsom salt

pot up to 20 gallon pot of fox farm ocean forest water only 3 weeks, two weeks additional veg and then flip to 12/12 and then start feeding the flora nova bloom 7mls per gallon every other watering unitl done

water in 3mls calmag 1x per week and 1/4 tsp Epsom salt one time per week

satori, it's interesting that you take what I say and mix it with your own and give that as advice. you're not admitting I might be right, are you?
